Ok, so I just asked a question about the meaning of life. Very interesting answer's. But one of them struck me in particular. Whoever they were they obvioulsy believed in God and Jesus, saying that the whole point of life is to serve God etc etc. But they also said that this life is nothing compared to the eternity in heaven you will receive if you believe in God and follow his teaching...
So here's my counterstrike to that. Does anyone else not think that the only reason religion still exists is because we are too afraid to accept that this really is JUST IT! No second life, no eternity. It's open your eyes your born, close your eyes you die. The stuff in between if just it.
Sounds horrific? Not really, don't you think that if we all truley believed that we might actually try and make this life and this world a better place instead of saying 'oh well doesn't matter, I've got heaven to look forward to?'
