baptism in Jesus name is the washing away of your sins
that is what remmision means - freedom; (figuratively) pardon: - deliverance, forgiveness, liberty, remission.
so
with out Baptism in JESUS name your sins are not washed away

This question is closely related to the scripture found in Matthew 28:19, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,"

Notice that people need to be baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

When we do something in the name of someone, it means that we recognize the person's authority over us or the matter we are dealing with. So to be baptized in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, we subject ourselves under and recognize the authority of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

A little background before going into the real answer:

Peter basically had 3 different groups of people to preach to: the Jews, the Samaritans, and the Gentiles. They have different backgrounds. In Acts 2:14-39, Peter was preaching to the Jews, who were born into a nation dedicated to God (the Father), but because they have not put faith in Jesus (the Son), they had not received God's holy spirit. In other words, they recognized the Father's authority, but not the Son's. With this condition, Holy Spirit would not come upon them.

Now because the Jews as a people rejected Jesus by putting him to death, they needed to repent for their sins and be baptized in Jesus' name to receive the Holy Spirit. And that is why Peter said, "Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

As for us Gentiles today, we need to be baptized not only in the name of Jesus Christ, but also in the name of the Father and the Holy Spirit. We need to recognize the authority of the Father (who is head of Christ - 1 Corinthians 11:3), we need to recognize Jesus is Christ and our Lord and King, and we need to be led by the holy spirit.

Water baptism is something we do. In Ephesians 2:8-9 it says that we are saved by grace through faith, not by works, so that no one can boast!
What if someone dies in a car accident before getting water baptized? Water baptism isn't needed for salvation.

Your ETERNAL SOUL is what matters! *HELL is REAL! JESUS SAVES! *Turn away from your sinful ways and put your trust in Jesus Christ, the Son of God! You MUST be BORN AGAIN! This is spiritual rebirth! You MUST possess the Holy Spirit!* TURN TO JESUS TODAY! CATHOLIC DOCTRINE IS FALSE! Live HOLY and follow JESUS!

If you find yourself in court with a $50,000 fine, will a judge let you go simply because you say you’re sorry and you won’t commit the crime again? Of course not. You should be sorry for breaking the law and, of course, you shouldn’t commit the crime again. But only when someone pays your $50,000 fine will you be free from the demands of the law. God will not forgive a sinner on the basis that he is sorry. Of course we should be sorry for sin—we have a conscience to tell us that adultery, rape, lust, murder, hatred, lying, stealing, etc., are wrong. And of course we shouldn’t sin again.

However, God will only release us from the demands for eternal justice on the basis that someone else paid our fine. Two thousand years ago, Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay for the sins of the world. His words on the cross were, "It is finished!" In other words, the debt has been paid in full. All who repent and trust in Him receive forgiveness of sins. Their case is dismissed on the basis of His suffering death.

Baptism is simply a step of obedience to the Lord following our repentance and confession of sin. Our obedience— water baptism, prayer, good works, fellowship, witnessing, etc.—issues from our faith in Christ. Salvation is not what we do, but Who we have: "He that has the Son has life" (1 John 5:12).

If this Is the only way then , the thief on the cross could not be saved, the man or women living in the desert could not be saved ,or the person in jail.Yes, we should be baptized but we need to understand its nothing but the Blood of Jesus that saves humans and we should not Judge our brothers and sisters in the Lord Jesus (Yeshua his true name) .

Because ALL have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. Jesus is the only way provided to save us from our sins. Otherwise, we could never be worthy of God or Heaven.

So that you can be saved from your sins and go to heaven when you die. If you believe in the words. If you don't happen to .. then it doesn't mean a thing. Good Luck ! :)
