With the discovery of fossils that are millions of years old, how do those mis-guided Christian zealots respond? When will they realise that the religious doctrine they have been brainwashed with is an inverted pyramid of piffle?

I think so. Even I hear this, and I have NO faith. Why do you insist that it be God?

For Christians who are celebrating Christmas with the use of a decorated tree, how do you reconcile that practice with Jeremiah 10:1-4?

Jeremiah 10 (KJV)

1 Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O house of Israel:

2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.

4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

Why not say thaoism? They have a book full of exiting stories which also give you guidelines too! Why Christianity? I'm guessing that you've prayed and some of the things you've asked for have come through, and maybe you've "felt" his presence, much like the people from the other religions. Perhaps people simply need to believe? But how can you? I want to believe, but theres so many things about the whole religious thing that is just strange, like the things i've mentioned. Please convince me otherwise!

Our brain is limited and we employ the term God to express the infinite unknown that surrounds our meaningless existence and the mysterious informations we live in and have to decode , we invented many things to simplify this multitude of informations that we receive but cannot know its reality : we invented time , space, evolution and God , therefore God is an abstract word but includes everything from the many received informations to the many unreceived ones like the dark matter in our universe , these informations interact with our lives and change it thus we have to live with what is around us from the metaphysics to the physics , we are not subjected to a random evolution as Darwin stated we live in a moving vessel called earth with no time nor space except in our minds , this world exists only when we look at it and this whole concept of God is nothing but a term that makes our existence meaningful to an extent , as the universe doesnt exist if we dont look , God too doesnt exist if we are not in a state of consciousness

When my Son was 4 years old. I was playing hide and seek. One night I ran in the bed room and hed under the white sheets. My son come running in the room and I slolwy started to rise and made a hollowing boo sound. That boy peed in his btrictehs and ran screaming to his Mother. The fact is that we are all born with the Holy Ghost and that being Good and Evil and you will know it.

harmful to others. People keep telling me I'm wrong for not respecting the beliefs of others. Well, I didn't repect the beliefs of Osama bin Laden or the Spanish Inquisition, or the dope in Rome with the funny hat who contributes so much to human misery with his silly ideas about birth control and who teaches that women are inferior to men. Why should I respect a bunch of dangerous idiots?

well, I think the same reasoning can be applied to believing in religions. what do you think. why are people criticized for not believing when believers chalk everything up to free will.

I know it sucks losing your land and all, but do christians feel that north america should go back to Native americans,Ireland back to the Irish, Australia back to the aborigines, New Zealand back to the maroi. and so on? If not, then why the special privilage to Israel? Shouldnt wisdom dictate that its inapropriate for Israel to 'exist', and the Jews should just go back to germany and wether else they have been living for the past 1900 years and just get use to it like every one else?
