well, I think the same reasoning can be applied to believing in religions. what do you think. why are people criticized for not believing when believers chalk everything up to free will.

Free will is a gift of God. He allowed it. Let me explain another way--you also have the free will to love someone. You can't be forced to love someone (you may act like you love the person, but only you know that you do or don't love them). God, in dealing with free will, allowed us to choose whether we follow Him or not. He cares, but He will not make the decision for you. You can choose to believe that there is a supreme being God who created all of the things in life including you (surely you don't think that all of this world and all that's in it just exists). Use your free will to believe in God and know that you have eternal life through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ who gave himself for the sins of the world. Ask Him into your heart today!

I think it's more funny that there is not a single law of science in support of the concept of freewill (as defined by being able to make a choice in difference with one's past state and current inputs), yet everyone makes a big fuss over 'free will' just because they can make 'choices'.

Computers make choices all the time, but I hardly consider them to have free will.

Non- Christians apparently think Christians are hypocritical But a true Christian wont criticize you but have compassion on you. we are always getting bashed but the difference between others and Christians are... Most Christians are doing it simply because Jesus told us to go in the highways and hedges and spread the gospel. People arent telling you the gospel to criticize you...their telling you because they care. Please accept my apoplogy on behalf of others who are calling themselves Christians but are quick to judge and dont even possess the spirit of Christ.
In other words.....even if you dont believe and Christians annoy you...they have good intentions behind it.

also...this free will thing...we have it because why would God want someone to love Him because He made them love Him?
Would be kind of pointless.

It is interesting to listen to those who talk so much about free will. They all have the same voice, how can that be an expression of free will? That is conformity, not freedom. They need another slogan.

Tolerance doesn't necessarily mean that truth is relative. It's not a bad thing to understand your own faith well enough to be able to identify the flaws in other religions.

Free will tricks you into thinking you choose faith over reason. Which you didn't you were pressured into believing by your environment.
No free choice was involved. Otherwise you would have been taught all the choices and all the pros and cons.

I don't criticize people who don't believe - today's atheists and naturalists and "agnostics" are tomorrow's believers!

Well that's the paradox isn't it? God hardened the pharaoh's heart, maybe he hardened mine as well? Who knows? (if he existed of course)
