While I passed out flyers in downtown Los Angeles yesterday, a sinner got ugly and tried to analogize between God and people like Osama Bin Laden.

He felt that when God told Pharoah, Let the Hebrews leave Egypt or something bad will happen to Egyptians that compared to people like Yasser Arafat saying to Israel, Let the Palestinians have their own country or something bad will happen to Israelis.

To me these are very different questions. But I thought you on Yahoo might help me formulate a better response.

To me,

1. God is Good. His actions are without sin. The terrorists are evil. They act from evil motive. So no comparison there.

2. The Egyptians did not follow God's law. They supported the Pharoah. In contrast to cases like the Twin Tower attacks and suicide bombers, where the innocent victims bore no relation to the governments attacked.

3. God can grant eternal life to people he kills. When a terrorist kills someone unless already saved, they are just dead.

I am just curious how average Christian person lives his/her life according to God's law when Christianity does not have much laws? Is it being good and accepting Jesus is the main thing in Christianity? Is that enough?

For example for us Muslims we have our own Islamic Jurisprudence, Islamic Banking system, Islamic Insurance - Takaful, Islamic dietary - Halal food...etc basically everything is covered in Islam. How do you Christians deal with the new things in life? You wouldn't know if it was permissible or sinful right?

but no one has ever escaped the Earth's gravitational pull, the moon is stuck in orbit by Earth's gravity. I was trying to use the wildest, most expensive example so then we could work back to show that only trivial things can be examples of actual free will.
You, my Christian friend, do not have the free will to suddenly stop not disbelieving, although in theory you do.
You DO have, and here's the triviality, the free will to decide if you'll have those bacon and eggs or that Corn Flakes for breakfast. You can believe anything that you want too, even that the blue sky is a reflection of the blue sea, as if the sea 'glowed' blue and the sky was a mirror, but only in the daytime. Kind of a part time 'fuzzy' mirror that reflect the sea but not the land beneath it. BUT, we can see that water reflects, look in a puddle..
But trivial examples like this prove nothing, and really don't mean anything at all. Honestly now the theory of free will has less to stand on than Evolution. RIGHT???

The precious white cloth(the point of living in life).

The white cloth hanging freely on a tree has been sewed into a shirt by someone. I knew it would happen eventually, so I never dared to look. I just lived my life knowing that the cloth is there, the cloth I had deeply hoped would be sewed one day into a shirt by me so I could wear.

Today, I looked and it has been sewed and worn by someone. The damage could never be undone, but it was never going to be my shirt anyway.

I mean who has a child just to KILL it? Sounds like this "God" fella isn't too stable. "God" should be doing a Life sentence in Hell for killing his child, just like all the other child killers out there. Couldn't there have been a better way to get people to follow him without anyones death involved? Especially his own sons.What do you think?

Jesus said honor your parents-but honor God most!

if your totally brainwashed into child pedo philing and you are told by the same angel "Make war on the unbelievers" maybe you should see what Jesus the only one that Muslims say was without sin and rose to heaven and will return to reign as the Messiah of the whole earth.

If a cup has part poison-the rest of the cup could have still been good milk-why not get out the good and throw out the bad???

Jesus said love your enemies, forgive and help them.

Jesus said compared to Mohamad "Except you repent, even from standing with wrong or telling one lie, and be born again in my salvation, you can not see the kingdom of God."

Mohamad didnt offer salvation he gave rules for salvation-yet if you break one rule your a rule braker-Jesus said spoken from heaven Revelation 1:1 &3:19&20 "Behold I love each person unconditionally, and stand at your heart door and knock, if you let me in to forgive sin and help you, I will be yourFriend"

What, to your understanding, are our CURRENT commandments? To facilitate learning among readers, please list what you view are the NT Commandments.

The ones I see are:

John 3:16 (belief in the Son is required in order to enter into the New Covenant);
John 5:23 (honor the Son just as you honor the Father);
John 13:34 (love one another as I have loved you);
Luke 22:19 (observe the Lord's Supper).

Those of you who may refer to the 10 Commandments, please remember Romans 7:4.

I wish you all peace.

Is it right to break off friendships in the church though we are all to love one another despite our short comings & if they take you for granted? Is it warrented to end something because it's not glorifying God? What your opinion? Scriptures welcome... I'm pretty open minded here...
Jesus said in Luke 6:28-30, "bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back."
