Consider the action then consider your feeling or response to: What if I did this action to your mother, daughter, sister. Your response is your answer. Be the action, monetary, social, religious, spiritual, personal, it doesn't matter. How would you feel if I did this ???? to one of the ladies in your family?

I pretty much agree with el perrito: actions that lead to life are generally good, while those that lead away from it are generally bad. Life is FAR more precious than I think most people realize, and I think that while other criteria exist, they're trivial in comparison to this one.
Unfortunately, we've confounded morality with religion for so long that it is almost impossible for most people to think clearly about this. The basic incompatibility between religion and valuing life is really making it difficult for us to think morally.

Your own conscience, if you have one.
If the dilemma is more complex, imagine each of the alternatives taking place, in turn, and observe the feeling within your own heart. That alternative that best fills your heart with comfort, is the one that is appropriate.

That is far too general of a question. In what society, in what age, in what circumstance?
For example: is it right to kill another?
How about if you are at war?
Who determined they are your enemy? Society or the individual?
How about if the war is unjust?
Define unjust...
The terms "right" and "wrong" are extreme abstractions

The law is spirituel
we know when we are doing right and wrong
even so the law does not save us it makes us aware of sin
when we cry out to God he will save us by his Grace through Jesus Christ

Conscience.
Unfortunately, for those with psychopathy, they are unable to make the determination due to a lack of innate conscience.
