If a person is a staunch atheist and refuses to believe in Jesus and God, but is essentially a person with a heart of gold, could he go to Heaven?

(no I'm not talking about me, it's a hypothetical scenario)

But where did God come from? (If you believe He really exists, that is.) Do you ever wonder or have your own theory about it?

This is a serious question - doesn't the universe appear to be a large amount of apparently unconnected pieces, just like a joke without the punchline yet? Or a bunch of scattered jigsaw puzzle pieces that could actually form a picture? Is the punchline and the picture: God? Why was the joke told or the pieces scattered?

I have recently been questioning my faith in Christianity. I know that God dosen't give proof on demand, but I don't feel right right in my belief without it. I almost feel as if I have been faking my devotion 'cause that is what I am suppose to believe, and this dosn't seem right. I have been trying to learn a lot about Buddhism and it interests me, yet not exactly as a religion. If I don't feel right worshipping a Christian god, a Buddhist god won't work either. Anyway I ask this just to see if anyone else out there has gone through this and how they handled it. Please no preaching, that kind of turns me off any religion. Thanks for your help.

They'll deport you and sometimes execute you if you are caught with a Bible in Saudi Arabia, the HEADQUARTERS of Islam.

Why do Muslims lie and say they respect the Bible and then turn around and ban it?

I would think Simon remembered Jesus everyday of his life til he died. I'm sure he is also one of the most blessed of men in heaven for the situation he was in.

It would hurt me to help any man carry him instrument of death to the place he would die, especially if it was Jesus.

To look him in his eyes knowing what is about to happen to him would be hard, at the time and for then on.

Every day, I work hard, study hard, and pray. But at the end of the day, even though I've accomplished a lot, I keep feeling like there's something else I need to do. Like there's something very important I need to accomplish before I can sleep peacefully. But I don't know what it is. HELP!

If I was god would you know it? When you think about typing that smart-**** remark ask yourself: Why can't this guy be god? Really...why can't I? God is omnipresent, perfect and I'm sure he is not limited to the capabilites of the common human where typing on the computer would be a 'waste of time.' ...I can focus on many tasks at once and I could, of course, take a human form if I really wanted to in order to root out people of faith and people not of faith OR.. my intentions may be even more complex than that to a point where you could not understand any of my actions...Is it really worth taking 'pascal's gamble'?

where as islam is fossilised in the medieval times! If you think beyond the Quran in an islamic state you are likely to loose your head!
How can two wrongs make a right! Do we need to be concerned with human development or take personal offence to the wrong things in religion? Why can't muslims be open minded?
And please don't reply with so and so religion is not open minded either, that is not a defence it's ignorance!

I have noticed a large amount of people in this section come on here and preach to others and make comments yet they are the ones who don't have their accounts set up to where people can contact them. Some people on here even say "if you need more help feel free to contact me" yet people have no way to contact you.
I have mine set up to where people can contact me if they feel the need too. There are a few people on here from time to time that I would like to contact them but can't cause they don't have it set up. So my question is why don't you allow people to contact you on here? It is cause you want to preach on here but don't want others to reply to what you said in their answers?

OK that said, in the book of genesis where god created stuff(?) um...if he created adam and eve first without them knowing "right from wrong"(?), why was it "wrong"for them to eat from the tree of knowledge"(knowledge of right from wrong) if they did not know "right from wrong" Big Contridiction there! These people were in vegetable state, they did not know what was right and what was wrong, so why would god tell them whats "wrong">(the tree of knowledge), if adam and eve didnt know right from freakin wrong?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? and the man is perfect!! yes i called him a he because so does the bible in evey scripture. They refer god as a he! Why? Why? and why does the bible oppress women?? only a man would do that! Genisis says that women will submit to their husbands!!

In the Bible, there are many instances when God or Jesus ask a question. If you review these instances, what conclusion can you draw from the context in which the questions apply. Is God/Jesus directing our attention to the answer or asking because He doesn't know the answer?

Whether it be catholic, orthodox christians or protestants or baptist or nondenom christians..etc,etc..Why do most have such bad regards towards the other? Towards rituals one christian group may or may not have? In a time when allot of other contries are persecuting christianity, wouldnt now be the time that christians put there minor diferences asside? We all believe in walking in path of Christ our Lord and following the word of God..Shouldnt that be all that matters??
