Simon the Canaanite was one of the apostles of Jesus. (The Epistula Apostolorum written in the 2nd century calls him Judas Zelotes, which suggests he may be the Judas mentioned in John 14:22. The Old Latin translations of Matthew 10:3 substitute "Judas the Zealot" for Lebbaeus.) The New Testament records nothing more of his activities.
Later traditions speculate about his fate. One tradition states that he travelled in the Middle East and Africa; one version saying he visited Britain -- possibly Glastonbury -- and was martyred in modern-day Lincolnshire. Another, doubtless inspired by his title "the Zealot", states that he was involved in a Jewish revolt against the Romans, which was brutally suppressed.

Judas the Zealot (Judas Zelotes) is a New Testament figure whose identity is not completely clear. He is mentioned in the Epistle of the Apostles (Epistula Apostolorum), written in the 2nd century. He is usually identified with the Apostle Simon the Zealot, with which he shares the surname, or with the Apostle Jude, also known as Thaddaeus. According to Bruce Metzger's Textual Commentary on the Greek NT, Matthew 10:3: "The name Judas Zelotes in several Old Latin manuscripts (compare also the same name in the fifth century mosaic in the great Baptistry at Ravenna) may be a further assimilation to the previous name in Luke's list, "Simon who was called the Zealot.""

The two references which I found regarding a Zealot were Luke 6:15 and Acts 1:13. Both of them refer to Simon the Zealot.

There are two Judas in the bible: the one nicknamed "Iscariot" (the traitor) and the one called "Thaddeus." Simon the "Zealot" perhaps is the one you are citing. It is in Luke 6:15 and Acts 1:13.
