Please do not interpret so literally all the time. It is wrong to do so.
First mistake, they disobed. God told them not to do something. It would be like parents telling a child not to go into the street. IT's DANGEROUS! A child does not KNOW why, but better obey because the parents do know.
Second mistake, by disregarding what God had said and listening to Satan they showed they did not trust God. This is why we are not allowed to see God as they did. We have to have faith because Adam and Eve did not keep faith with God. They were unfaithful to God and trusted Satan.
Third mistake, by DISOBEYING GOD they lost their innocense!
Fourth mistake, a house divided cannot stand. A man has obligations to his wife that makes him a servant to her and their kids. You should realize this.
Fifth mistake, you are being rediculous and lack a proper understanding on the gender issue. The word "he" refers to not a gender as you interpret it but, a role as a Father who is loving, compassionate, and protective.
I SPECIALIZE IN KNOWING ABOUT GOD'S CREATION. Please try to understand.
DEMONSTRATING EXISTENCE OF THE HOLY TRINITY:
The HOLY TRINITY is defined as:
A term used since A.D. 200 to denote the central doctrine of the Christian religion. God, who is one and unique in his infinite substance or nature, is three really distinct persons, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The one and only God is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Yet God the Father is not God the Son, but generates the Son eternally, as the Son is eternally begotten. The Holy Spirit is neither the Father nor the Son, but a distinct person having his divine nature from the Father and Son by eternal procession. The three divine persons are co-equal, co-eternal, and consubstantial and deserve co-equal glory and adoration.
We need to know how we are created in God's image to grasp the concept of the Holy Trinity and I think your question is a good one.
To understand this better, chart it out or use a diagram of two triangles of equal proportions like the Star of David. This allows an easier understanding of the relationship between the Essence and Existence of a thing. The following words should be distinguished in the following categories: Physical, Mental, and Spiritual. These three words encompass everything in the Universe and make up the CREATIVE PROCESS to help describe the Creator, creatures, and creation.
God is spirit. He cannot be seen. If you were to examine all the creatures, the CREATOR has made a pattern emerges: angels and demons are intellectual creatures without a body; plants and animals do not have an intellect but a body and mortal soul. IT IS ONLY LIVING, HUMAN, BEINGS, that have a MIND, BODY, and SOUL. Only human beings have all three. Now, living, human, being is the existence of man. Those words describe the essence of man's mind, body, and soul. The Body is living, the Mind makes us human and distinguishing us from animals, and our Soul makes us the being that we become (good or evil).
Now, even Muslims will agree Allah is omnipotent (all powerful), omniscient (all knowing), and omnipresent (ever present). These words describe the existence of God. So, what is the essence of God? I will hold off answering this question till the end.
Now, if you think about the existence of a person they have a triple existence: physical (body), mental (mind), and spiritual (eternal soul). In fact, whenever we create something it has all three of these parts. When we cook we have a recipe (in our mind), we gather all the raw ingredients, and we cook (don't burn it, ha ha) what it is we are making. Cooking has the physical, mental, and spiritual parts. Same with engineering or technology it has three parts: the blueprints (to convey an idea), the raw materials (physical), and the workmanship (spiritual). If something goes wrong investigators will look for a design flaw, material flaw, or faulty workmanship. THIS DEMONSTRATES CREATION HAS THREE PARTS LIKE THE CREATOR.
Now, in the Bible it says Jesus is the visible likeness of the invisible God. (Colossians 1:15) The ESSENCE OF GOD IS: Father (mental), Son (physical), Holy Ghost (spiritual). ONE TRUE GOD IN THREE JUST LIKE A PERSON. THREE PARTS ONE PERSON. When you are sick you send for a doctor; when you are mentally troubled, a psychiatrist; when spiritually seeking you seek out a holy person.

They knew not eat from the tree of knowledge because God told them not to. Rules still existed on Earth, and humans had the capability of understanding what they were to do. Even Adam and Eve knew not to eat the fruit but they did not know why. Satan convinced Eve she would have the knowledge of God and in turn Adam was just as easily convinced of this as well and both disobeyed God. After they ate the fruit they realised it was wrong.
Humans were not tainted by sin until this event. It was then that we became less than perfect as God said that because of Adam and Eve's sin we would all share that sin. (Only Jesus who was not born of a man would be untainted.)
The bible also tells husbands how to treat their wives. Submission refers mostly to allowing the husband to reproduce with the wife. Men also have rules to abide by in the marriage and women are to be treated with the respect they deserve (as an equal being).
One (husband/wife) is not less than the other but they probably should have different roles in the marriage. Classically men are the better protectors while the women are the better carers. That is why men and women are equipped differently.
God is known as a He for many reasons perhaps the simplest is that the bible was written from a Hebrew perpective. Aslo Jesus Christ the Son of God came to earth as a man. This would also have lead to further reference to God as a 'He'.
When reading anything in the Bible context is still important. The Hebrew are a very spiritual people. Everything is written in a very poetic sense and perhaps also not entirely literal. For example the Greek may have recorded the same events very differently.

He is not oppressing women. In the New Testament, He clearly holds women up to being equal, like a man. But wives should at least sometimes submit, because that is part of the commitment she made. God isn't being sexist.
Actually, the Bible does not saying anything about Adam and Eve not knowing right from wrong. In Genesis 1: 16-17, it says, "And the Lord God commanded the man, 'You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die.'"
It was wrong because God told them not to eat from it, yet if you read later on, they disobey Him, and for that they paid the price.
Hope I helped!

1. I'm sorry you are angry. God did not make you angry... man or man's interpretation of God did.
2. The tree is the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. The Tree of Life was also there. The instruction not to eat of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil was given that Adam and Eve had the choice. God did not create man to be a robot, but a being freely choosing to commune with Him.
3. You are correct. God is a He. Women "submit" actually means that women support their husband as head of the household in religious instruction. This was said to limit confusion and disharmony. It is not in any way demeaning to a woman. God has acknowledged women in several ways... Deborah led God's army to victory when the men were too afraid to go without her. Sarah was blessed with child after menopause. Mary gave birth to the Son of God. Women are glorified and blessed of God. Women were first given the Good News of Jesus Resurrection and instructed to go tell the men, to gather them together. Women have played a significant role in God's plan. They are in no way oppressed.

The story about Adam and Eve is about man coming forth into the realm of time. Into the dual nature of the universe. It is about humanity leaving the dreamlike place where we did not know the difference between male and female, God and human, good or evil.
To move out into the world, to gather knowledge, we had to leave the Garden. This is the shift in consciousness from the consciousness of identity to the consciousness of participation.
It's metaphor and myth to help develop our consciousness and should not be read as history.

You need to be calm and OPEN MINDED and REASONABLE when have a discussion of this sort... First of all Adam and Eve had what everyone has... INSTINCT and a CONSCIENCE so they KNEW what was right and what was wrong... HE TOLD THEM NOT TO EAT FROM THE TREE OF KNOWLEDGE but they did it anyway (Knowing it was wrong...) there was no condradiction of any sort... if you FULLY understand what you are reading, there is ZERO contradictions in the bible ANYWHERE!

You assume too much. A&E were not veggies, they were thinking, innocent, people. They didn't need to know about good or evil, the needed merely obey God. They chose not to. THAT was the problem. No contradiction at all for the honest observer. God is referred to as 'He' because that culture did not respect women. In fact, in several places, God refers to Himself in female terms. The Bible does not opress women. In fact, compared to the culture it was written in, it was very liberal. YOU are looking at it through the lense of 21st century culture, a culture formed largely by this very Book. Took awhile, but it's moving us in the right direction!

In order to be a perfect loving God he had to give his Creation free will. Free will in this regard is the ability to choose God or Not God, LIFE or DEATH. God said that the tree of knowledge was not to be touched, for they would surely die. He gave them everything they could possibly want and it was perfect. But they were decieved by the enemy and chose to disobey God.
And God gave them what he promised them, death (Spiritual death).
God has never broken his word. He has never changed. He is perfect and Holy and Just and Loving.
In regard to your comment about women:
The Bible does say, "Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands, as to the Lord," but it also instructs, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it" (Ephesians 5:22,25). A man who under-stands that Jesus Christ sacrificed His life’s blood for the Church will likewise love his wife sacrificially and passionately. He will honor her, respect her, protect, love, and cherish her as much as he does his own body, as he is instructed to do (Ephesians 5:28). He will never say or do anything to harm or demean her. It is in this atmosphere of love and security that a godly wife willingly submits herself to the protective arms of her husband. She does this not because he is better than she is, but simply because this is God’s order for His creation.
A godless world rejects the God-given formula to make marriage work. It thinks it knows best, and suffers the heartbreaking consequences of destroyed marriages and ruined lives. The Christian ideal of marriage is not one of an authoritarian and chauvinistic male holding his cringing wife in submission like an obedient dog. It’s the very opposite. While most of the great religions treat women as inferior to men, the Bible gives them a place of dignity, honor, and unspeakable worth, expressed so evidently in Proverbs 31.
Please study the scripture a little harder, your understanding is a little off.

Think of it this way: The Creator left a record of His creation of and love for us. He had men write it down. The accounts vary some, but basically He made us, loves us and wants us to enjoy our life and learn about things and love Him and other people.
We can't understand all the details here, but we will later.
