Why do islamists cite the evils in other religions to justify their own? Other religions are reforming...?

where as islam is fossilised in the medieval times! If you think beyond the Quran in an islamic state you are likely to loose your head!
How can two wrongs make a right! Do we need to be concerned with human development or take personal offence to the wrong things in religion? Why can't muslims be open minded?
And please don't reply with so and so religion is not open minded either, that is not a defence it's ignorance!

Because they are intellectually blind when attempting to see what the rest of the world can see. They are so completely enveloped in the greatest and darkest deception ever that they sometimes tell lies and even themselves can not recognize it.

There is no evil in islam, though there certainly are muslims who do evil. Some practioners of a religion being evil doesn't mean the religion is evil. If I attributed serial killing to christianity simply because serial killing is very common in America, that would be absurd.

Keep the religion separate from its practioners. Most of the current day muslims don't practice Islam as it should be. This is the sole reason that muslims are entrenched in ignorance. They are running after the life of this world, the worldy desires etc.

I don't say worldly desires are bad, but to be free means, not to be a slave of your desires, to have control over ones ownself. As muslims are fasting these days, as its ramadan, the sole purpose of this month to practice self restraint. The primary goal is to understand the purpose of this life and as the Qur'an says this life is an amusement, a play, the real abode is in the hereafter where everyone would reap what they had sowed.

Whoever among muslims jusitifies an evil which they commit by pointing out evils in other religions are wrong. But it highly depends on what you think is evil.

Most of the people have a wrong impression of muslims and consequently Islam and thats because of muslims themselves. They don't practice Islam truly which makes non-muslims think that there is something wrong with Islam.

I am a muslim living in the US and I know from my experience that muslims in the US practice Islam much more than the muslims back home. Muslims of USA are more enlightened and they understand Islam much better. This is the sole reason that about 20,000 americans become muslims each year.

There is no "justified" religion. They are all flawed, and man-made. Islam is the most dangerous, because, there are presently around 14 Islam related conflicts in the world. This is due to extremist Muslims who will not tolerate existence with other people who are not of the same faith.

My dear friend, before judging a religon as evil, please go through it. Dont judge it by the media, nor by the one in a billion followers who are demonized by CNN and BBC. Go through the Quran once, in an English translation without bias eyes. I challenge you, in it you will not find a single statment made by GOD which is against humanity as a whole. Ofcourse, it may say things which are against your desires, but that won't make the word of GOD imperfect. We muslims feel that we are being maligned by the media, and you christians are supporting the media's effort by not doing your own research and only going by what you see on TV. Read the Quran. It will answer all your questions. May God give you the eyes to see the truth.

Islam is perfect but the followers aren't. What you see is just those created by the ignorant. Prophet Muhammad pbuh taught us to respect other religion and not to destroy their places of worship.

i believe that you are wrong Muslims are more open minded than Christian's. They believe in the bible but yet believe that it has been tampered with. Muslims believe that Mohammed was the last prophet after Jesus. They do not believe that Jesus was the son of god...if he was then ADAM would be too. We are all gods children. Christians believe that GOD, holy spirt, and Jesus are one. Muslim's believe GOD IS ONE HIMSELF. Christians are mixed with pagans beliefs
