What makes ANY of you think you have ANY CLUE as to the real deal? Listen, I've been content to just hide out and watch for millenia, but all this bickering back & forth on Yahoo! Answers is really starting to PISS ME OFF!!!

Maybe I want you to question. Maybe I want you to have faith. Maybe I want you to disbelieve. Maybe it's all of the above. Maybe none of the above. Maybe reality is just a sick joke, or a bet I made with one of my friends. Maybe you'll find out when you die, maybe you won't. Maybe the instant you die, I'll change all the rules. Maybe it's all a big test, or maybe it's a big waste of time. Maybe you're all my greatest creation, or maybe I am yours. Maybe I screwed up and this whole creation thing has gotten out of hand, or maybe this is all a clever ruse & I don't exist.

Anyway, I just want you all to shut up already! You can listen or not. I really don't care.

(PS - From Yahoo Staff... this is the real God... we just let him use Printninja's account)

it says:
11 The LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks with his friend. Then Moses would return to the camp, but his young aide Joshua son of Nun did not leave the tent.

now you all claimed that moses did not see gods face. that seeing his face would result in death. however it says here that as a man would speak to his friend. so how many of you dont let your friend see your face while your talking with them? and in the event they see your face its punishable by death? you guys are denying what is clearly written in the bible why?

I've noticed on here that a lot of Christians don't beleive that anyone else can speak of peace or that any other religion is a true religion. Why is this?

Please note that I said a lot, I'm not trying to generalize but it seems there are a lot of angry christians on here that think that everbody else is worng and they don't deserve to give answers or ask questions about religion.

This is actually to the ones who believe in God. I understand that it can become very upsetting when so many people don't believe in God and come against Christianity, etc. It's a pretty harsh world that we live in. I've noticed it especially since I joined Yahoo Answers. But tell me honestly..do you think that by leaving snyde remarks and insults on non-believers' questions will help them to believe that there is a loving God? We're supposed to show love. If we aren't showing love and are taking offense so easily, how will we ever convince anyone that there is a God and He is real? It's ok that people disagree. Not everyone is always going to agree with us. Just make sure that you ultimately show God's love and if you decide to say anything - make sure it's from God. I think a good rule of thumb is to pray before we say anything. Quick to listen - slow to speak. That's what i say. Who agrees?

"Christianity borrowed its central myths and ceremonies from other ancient religions. The ancient world was rife with tales of virgin births, miracle-working saviors, tripartite gods, gods taking human form, gods arising from the dead, heavens and hells, and days of judgment. In addition to the myths, many of the ceremonies of ancient religions also match those of that syncretic latecomer, Christianity. To cite but one example (there are many others), consider Mithraism, a Persian religion predating Christianity by centuries. Mithra, the savior of the Mithraic religion and a god who took human form, was born of a virgin; he belonged to the holy trinity and was a link between heaven and Earth; and he ascended into heaven after his death. His followers believed in heaven and hell, looked forward to a day of judgment, and referred to Mithra as "the Light of the World." They also practiced baptism (for purification purposes) and ritual cannibalism—the eating of bread and the drinking of wine to symbolize the eating and drinking of the god’s body and blood. Given all this, Mithra’s birthday should come as no surprise: December 25th; this event was, of course, celebrated by Mithra’s followers at midnight.

Mithraism is but the most striking example of the appearance of these myths and ceremonies prior to the advent of Christianity. They appear—in more scattered form—in many other pre-Christian religions."
Christians and Muslims , plz read the below to find out what Mr.Paul Kurtz said and your commence on that ?
The traditional religions have too often waged wars of intolerance not only against other religions or ideologies that dispute the legitimacy of their divine revelations but even against sects that are mere variants of the same religion (e.g., Catholic versus Protestant, Shiite versus Sunni). Religions claim to speak in the name of God, yet bloodshed, tyranny, and untold horrors have often been justified on behalf of holy creeds. True believers have all too often opposed human progress: the abolition of slavery, the liberation of women, the extension of equal rights to transgendered people and gays, the expansion of democracy and human rights.
Along the same line, believers have never succeeded in demonstrating the existence of the disembodied souls of any of the billions who went before us. All efforts to communicate with such discarnate entities have been fruitless. Sightings of alleged ghosts have not been corroborated by reliable eyewitness testimony.

I am looking for a get out clause to be honest, as i will not be involved with this familiy in future, so it is unfair to them. I am not religious but i don't belive in lieing also she said she is ony doing it to have a party and this is the reason we never christened our own daughter as it is hypocritical.
