its the same religion kind of. Jesus changed the lives of the whole world when He came to earth. Now people don't have to sacrifice. now people or a city don't have to die immediately when they sin. We now have choices, we now have 2nd, 3rd, 4th, an infinite number of chances to follow Christ.

Basically it is kind of like a History book. The Jews, who are excellent at keeping immaculate records of everything were the ones charged with keeping the Old Testament. The new testament was written from God through the apostles. The old testament bascially said where we had been. And the new testament was a statement on where the disciples were and where the rest of us were supposed to be going from there.

not entirely; some religions only use the old testament, some use both, others have newer testaments.
and Christianity does have a name for their god its God.
It helps to read about other religions, I don't know what religion you are but I have none. I still like to read about religions and learn about them and what their teachings and customs are so that I know where people I know are coming from and part of what makes them tick. knowledge is a good thing.

The Old Testament (is also the Torah - Hebrew Bible) and the New Testament is about the grace the living God (of the Old Testament) has given us through Jesus Christ, His Son.
So the answer you seek is, yes. Same living God...
The living God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Yes & no.
The Old was primaryily telling the story of the Hebrews- and the laws God gave them.
The New is where the Old pointed to- Jesus.
We have a name for our God- God- Jehova- Jesus, El Shaddai- Elohim, etc. ...
One differnce Christians and Jews have are the dietary restrictions- and also CHristians believe in the Trinity.

It is all from the same God.
God is revealing himself and his wishes to us.
Then he sends Jesus (his son) to bring a new Covenant between God and all people.
That is where the new testament starts. The old barbaric laws of Stoning, and human judgment on each other is no longer needed. God knew that we would never be able to justly judge each other, Jesus brought redemption for our sins, and the law of Love and Peace.
Good luck and God Bless

youre onto something.. Jewish people had alot more restrictions due to no sacrifice yet for sin so they had to provd obedience to God...then he decided to make a way for Us to be totally forgiven and even live again.. when they call God by the wrong name then they dont have the rtrue religion His name was never Allah or Buddhah Never..

if you ask me they both teach completely differently. they say that their god is unchanging but in the old testement any offense was punishable by death were as in the new testament u say sorry and your ok. old testament god took direct intervention, god killed people, god commanded people kill people and god gave powers so that people could kill people. and yet it says "thou shalt not kill" (unless god says so?) bible is weird.
