Has anyone read any of Richard Dawkins' books or seen him on TV? If not, here are a bunch of videos on YouTube. He's an evolutionist for those who don't know. The series is called "The Root of All Evil". He's talking about faith without evidence. I recommend that everyone watch them. Let me know what you think!

Or is it your traditional/cultural weakness? I need answers please.

I cannot imagine a God who rewards and punishes the objects of his creation, whose purposes are modeled after our own — a God, in short, who is but a reflection of human frailty. Neither can I believe that the individual survives the death of his body, although feeble souls harbor such thoughts through fear or ridiculous egotisms."

"The religion of the future will be a cosmic religion. The religion which based on experience, which refuses dogmatic. If there's any religion that would cope the scientific needs it will be Buddhism."
"It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it." - Albert Einstein

should every election be 100% for the same guy?

Is that what God wants? For everyone to line up and look the same and talk the same,

don't we have different abilities, different names, different avatars,

different . . . . religions?

I was just thinking, as I listened to Dr. Dre's class "B****** ain't S*** but ho's and tricks" that Dre and his buddies like Snoop Dogg would be right at home in the Taliban. Maybe there's some way we can ship all the black muslims over to Afghanistan so they can be among their people.

Do you worship god for yourself, or do you worship god for god? In other words, do you go to church to worship god for gods sake, or do you do it to feel better about yourself? Basically what I am trying to figure out is whether belief in a diety is a selfish endeavor or if it is benevolent. i.e. Trying to make god feel better about himself by bowing down to him.

I did hear on BBC Radio 4's today programme that there has come to light a transcript of a speech given to the Sanhedrin by a disciple of Jesus a few years after the crucifiction. It details Jesus's life and is a tour de force of rhetoric, it is said that this speech is what started Christianity, it was so powerful. What has happened to this transcript? Have the Vatican got their hands on it and buried it until the end of things? Am I the only one who remembers this?

not that i take it seriously but why hasn't anyone ever heard of a person being possessed by the holy spirit or god, being uncontrollably good and charitable and miraculous? Surely it's only fair that there's "intervention" from both sides.

"Christianity borrowed its central myths and ceremonies from other ancient religions. The ancient world was rife with tales of virgin births, miracle-working saviors, tripartite gods, gods taking human form, gods arising from the dead, heavens and hells, and days of judgment. In addition to the myths, many of the ceremonies of ancient religions also match those of that syncretic latecomer, Christianity. To cite but one example (there are many others), consider Mithraism, a Persian religion predating Christianity by centuries. Mithra, the savior of the Mithraic religion and a god who took human form, was born of a virgin; he belonged to the holy trinity and was a link between heaven and Earth; and he ascended into heaven after his death. His followers believed in heaven and hell, looked forward to a day of judgment, and referred to Mithra as "the Light of the World." They also practiced baptism (for purification purposes) and ritual cannibalism—the eating of bread and the drinking of wi

Deliberate masturbation during the month of Ramadan renders a fast invalid, Iranian Supreme Leader Sayyid Ali Khameini has ruled.
Khameini, who is Iran's most powerful political and religious figure, was asked on his website : "If somebody masturbates during the
month of Ramadan but without any discharge, is his fasting invalidated?"
"If he do not intend masturbation and discharging semen and nothing is discharged, his fasting is correct even though he has done a ḥarām (forbidden) act. But, if he intends masturbation or he knows that he usually discharges semen by this process and semen really comes out, it is a ḥaram intentional breaking fasting," the Iranian leader said, posting the reply on his website.
Another reader asked: "Once in the holy month of Ramadan, I forgot to brush my teeth, and some tiny bits of food remained in my mouth. I swallowed the bits unintentionally. Do I have to perform the qaḍa (repent) for that day's fast?"
"If you did not know that some bits of food remained between the teeth, or you did not know that they would reach the throat, and they were swallowed unknowingly and unintentionally, then you are not liable to make (repent) of the fast," said Khameini.
'Drink water while standing'
On the website, Khameini also tells Iranians that only jockeys are permitted to gamble on horse races.
He is also asked whether it is permissible for a man to marry a woman only in order to be able to live in his wife's country. "Can a man conclude a marriage contract for a year with a European girl after getting her agreement with the purpose of going to her country?" A reader asked.
"There is no problem in that if they are serious in contracting marriage and it is done with her father's permission if she is virgin," Khameini ruled.
The Iranian leader also told readers they were allowed to "to drink water while standing" at nights. It was "not permissible" to take part in meetings attended by both men and women, he told another reader.
"In Islam's view, rulers and governments exist just to serve people and carry out works in the interest of the public and this is what God demands us, as authorities, to fulfill," Khamenei was quoted Tuesday telling Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

-the rich people gives the poor people a share of their money called Zakaa, and they MUSt pay it to be muslims......and they are fought if they persist not to pay it.this share is only 2.5% of the uninvested money..........if all your oney is invested,,,, u do pat zakaa for it.

- rich people can pay excesses if they want to earn more hasanat.

- we have two feasts......in one, every muslim man must pay 5 cups of rice,or other such crops to other mulim...... in the other feast, people kill sheaps and give 1/3 of its meat to poor people, 1/3 for their relatives, and 1/3 for them......the three parts must be the same.

- all muslims men have to pray in mosques the rich beside the poor.....5 times per day........
