Isaiah 14:12-13 mentions part of it, the why.
Wow - I just searched and searched on the 'net sites and couldn't find it. I know I've read it though. Weird. It's hard to search sometimes if you don't know which version you read something in. I can only search by exact words or phrases.
I remember the story of Satan getting the boot and 1/3 of the angels went with him, becoming demons. I just can't find it.

The coming fall is prophesied by Isaiah:
Isaiah 14:12
How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations!
The original fall and the retribution of the Lamb is Revelations
Revelations 12:7 And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, 8 but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them[a] in heaven any longer. 9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. 12 Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.”

There are vague references in Revelation to an angel being cast out. But the popular story, that lists Lucifer by name, is the 14th Century Dante's "Inferno" - a section of the "Divine Comedy."

Not a full run through of the event. Check out the whole chapter of Revelation 12 in the bible. Here's a cliff's note: Rev 12:7-9
And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

Revelation 12:7 beginning: And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon: and the dragon fought and his angels,
And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, call the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth and his angels were cast out with him.

"He replied, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven." Luke 10:18
"7And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. 8But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. 9The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him." Revelation 12:7-9
I think that there is also something in Isaiah, but don't know exactly where it is.

Isaiah14:12
How you are fallen from heaven, O Day Star, son of Dawn! How you are cut down to the ground, you who laid the nations low! 13 You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far north; 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will make myself like the Most High.’ 15 But you are brought down to Sheol, to the depths of the Pit. 16 Those who see you will stare at you, and ponder over you: ‘Is this the man who made the earth tremble, who shook kingdoms, 17 who made the world like a desert and overthrew its cities, who did not let his prisoners go home?’
In the King James translation, verse 12 reads:
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! (The term Lucifer in fourth century Latin was a name for Venus, especially as the morning star.)Job 11:17: And your life will be brighter than the noonday; its darkness will be like the morning.
2 Peter 1:19: You will do well to pay attention to this as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.
In 2 Corinthians 11:14, Paul writes about false apostles:
And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.
And in Luke 10:18-19, at the return of the 70 as they comment on their success, Jesus says:
And he said to them, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall hurt you."

Read the Old Testament dilligently. Do not be lazy if you want to learn these things. Read at least 30 minutes a day Book by Book. You will find that it is the most exciting history and religious book you'll ever find.
It is not good to be eating pre-packaged food only. You got to learn how to prepare and cook your own food.
You gotta read the Bible and discover for yourself, this is what I really mean.

god=7154=17=8=h
satan=19120114=19=10=1=a
so both God and Satan were in heaven.
but once when first learning to read and write God himself wrote
heaven as heven and thus it was said God cast Satan out of heaven but was no big deal cause still sounded the same. But Satan didn't like it so he cast God the Father when it was really God the Fatherr.
Jesus himself engaded in name calling thus was not the perfect being or friend. He called Peter the son of the devil his father. thus Jesus was abandonned cause no one messes with A GOD the Fatherr. die jesus die.
