I recently saw this statement on a bumper sticker. Now my question is...Is it not a sin for a religious person to put this on their car? To assume that God or Jesus loves you MORE than another is a sin right? "We are all equal in the eyes of god." So why is it that religious people can be so Vain and still consider themselves free from sin. Even a small sin is a sin. A bumper sticker may not seem like much, but the statement it implies is not small. To me this is a perfect example of religious double standards. They tell you to be free of sin and then hand out stickers that will make you a sinner if you use them??? I know it is only a sticker, but I've seen a lot like this, and it makes me wonder what these so called religious people were thinking? Do they really believe that they will get a better spot in the lineup at the pearly gates when the time comes??? Do any of you have this sticker or one like it on your cars? If so please explain why you think god likes you more

Altruism–noun 1. the principle or practice of unselfish concern for or devotion to the welfare of others (opposed to egoism).
2. Animal Behavior. behavior by an animal that may be to its disadvantage but that benefits others of its kind, as a warning cry that reveals the location of the caller to a predator.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/altruism

Many theists claim that without a belief in God, humans would not know right from wrong. Why then, do my dogs stop playing when one accidentally hurts the other? Surly we humans have more altruistic tendencies than dogs.

Again we had a major overpass collapse sending tons of cement to the cars underneath. 5 people were instantly crushed to death under the rubble and those that were driving on it when it fell are alive but in serious condition. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061001/ap_on_re_ca/canada_overpass_collapse_12;_ylt=A0geunLK2yNF3k4A9Cr2FAx

When they finally cleared the rubble away after 5+ hours, they found the vans; the height of them was from the ground to your knee, compressed to that size with once living people inside. Their insides must have exploded with the impact. The scenes are quite unnerving

Cars continued to drive but fly off because they weren't paying attention.

If you believe in Creationism is it true that you have to :

1. Go against over 70 major scientific societies :
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_scientific_societies_rejecting_intelligent_design

2. Go against every major biologist, geologist, molecular biologists, geneticists that lead their field in their study?
http://newton.nap.edu/html/creationism/evidence.html

3. Believe that you know something that these people haven't uncovered in their lifetimes of research, study, and expertise?

4. Believe that because of the OVERWHELMING evidence to support evolution and an Earth that is millions of years old, that GOD must have planted this evidence as a trick or test of your faith? That God is a prankster?

please clear this up for me.....

As human beings, we don't all look the same ,think alike or come from the same place, so why should we all believe the same way? My chosen path has made me a much kinder, more understanding, more compassionate person than I ever was before. I am a much more positive presence in the universe than I was as a christian. If a person's beliefs make them a better human being and therefore be better to others, then I don't see how one could say any of them are all wrong.
By the way, I am a witch. Not a wiccan. Not a satanist. Not a magician. I Do have a connection with the Divine. I am also connected to you and everything else in the universe.
I do not seek to change your path to the Divine, and I am very happy with mine. Why shouldn't that be ok?

If you believe that religions of all kinds are false, what do you believe is truth and why? Who or what determines what is right and what is wrong? What keeps you from bettering your life at the expense of others? What do you do with the guilt of doing wrong (as you define it)?

I see some people in this section referring to themselves as 'true Christians' and to others as 'They are not real Christians'.

Sounds to me like a judgemental act, which makes the 'True Christian' a 'not so real Christian'.

Or am I wrong in this?
