Wouldn't it be better to find a way to keep this s.hit from happening? Obviously no one is coming down from heaven to put a stop to this. Praying only relieves the burden of emotion the person praying has.

Just why would anyone bother with a bunch of Amish kids anyway?

I think that there should be birth control in the food and water, and people should have to pass a competency test before procreating or being in a position where care of children is a career.Studies have shown that nearly 90% of all serial killers and mass murders came from an abusive background.

I think prayer is the reason it's happening

to many people busy wishing and hoping and not doing anything to address ther real issue of why it's happening

pray for Mr. T to come and save them with the A-Team...

that has more chances than a invisible god doing anything

Indeed in the wake, latter state of man worse-end.
A wake is what ya get from being sow dog law law.
A funeral is what ya get from them who law them.
Perhaps law isn't the solution, rather the problem.

Consider what's common to both news stories:
DISGRACED U.S. CONGRESSMAN WAS MOLESTED AS TEEN: ATTORNEY. The attorney for the U.S. Republican congressman who was forced to resign over e-mails and instant messages he sent to young male aides said Tuesday his client had been molested by a clergyman when he was a teen.

SHOOTER AT AMISH SCHOOL SAID HE ABUSED RELATIVES
The man who opened fire in an Amish schoolhouse told his wife he had molested family members 20 years earlier and was having dreams of molesting again, police said on Tuesday.

Perhaps what's common to both is "evil concupiscence":
http://www.godshew.org/Concupiscence.htm
I fought the law and the law won? O foolish Americans.

Pray amiss? more law law from on high in heavens?
Whatsoever ye loose on earth is loosed in heaven!
Wouldn't it be better to note a prayer got answered?

Our Father, deliver us from evil: Mt 6:13
We are delivered from the law: Rom 7:6

What remains is global awareness of it.
God will have all men: saved AND aware:
http://www.godshew.org/RevelatorySermons6.htm
Grace AND Truth "came" by Jesus Christ, is come.
By grace ye are saved AND by truth ye are awared.
Jude 1:5 notes: Many saved also got destroyed after.
Once saved, always saved? Only if aware what from.

Or else "worse"-end could get to worst.
Worst: by using of ordinances all perish.

Let us not even go there, to "their end".
(not suffered to continue human race)
Rather let us go on unto perfection of:

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Yeah, prayer is soooo successful.

How about a real plan like Blackacre said?

You may pray if you wish. I will continue to reassure my kids and discuss with them ways in which they can keep themselves safe. I hope that whatever we do, it will be enough.

Throwing away the guns certainly won't help. That just means that the only people who have guns are the ones who didn't throw them away. That is, the people who intend to use them.
