The bible contains the word hell, which was the name of the norse goddess of the underworld. Hell was not originally part of chirstianity. Originally the bible contained, in the Old Testament, Sheol, which is the hebrew word for the Grave, and in the New Testament, Geheena. Geheena was a landfill outside Jerusalem where the city's trash, and the bodies of executed criminals were burned. Thus the stories of the flames of hell filled with the damned. Why not take Jesus's human life as an example of how to be kind and challenge the governmnet, but reject the "miracles" and "ressurection" that never happened.

there's this guy stalking me and he reallly likes me and I told him before to stop because it creaps me out..he will say sorry and the next day he's all up in my business and trieng to follow me and look at me all the time.

Just recently I found out he was cutting himself ,but not to the point to where it bleeds.but just to open the skin.and he will not wear any long sleeave t-shirts,so he is definately not trieng to hide it ,so it has to be for attention right.

then today in band some of the baritones were arguing with each other and that guy went over to him to break it up and they cussed at him saying this is none of your goddamn businessand stuff like that,and he stopped playing for the rest of the period and he just had his hands on his head and was crieng

so obviously this guy is EMOtional and im not sure what to do,and he is not a good person either,he is very rude...

ok im not a cristian but for now lets assume the bible is correct, well how could jesus be god, when jesus fasted and prayed to god for like 8 days straight(i could be way off on this # been awhile sinse i read the bible), but any way why would he starve himself just so he could pray to himself, that sounds kinda like tootin ones own horn 2 me, and as we all know pride is one of the seven deadly sins, which jesus was suppose 2 be with out, so how could jesus be god

There's a saying "If you don't believe in god and are wrong, there's a heavy penalty. If you do believe in god and are wrong you lose nothing. So, believe in god."

All of that is true, but here's my question: How can I believe in something that I truly sincerely don't? Sure I could express my acceptance verbally and physically, but deep down inside, I would only be lieing to myself, which would still make me a nonbeliever.

Please try to stick to the question and not go rambling off about how I can find holy jesus in the great garden etc etc.

ok my youth director says that telling a person of a different religion that they are going to hell is not judging, but I think it is and we spent 2 hours arguing about it. So what is it to you? (is it preaching or judging?)
