Yeah - alive is alive, dead is dead.
There MIGHT be an afterlife, there IS a life. Go for the sure bet.

Death is the end of life, therefore there can be no life after death. Is it wrong to want to enjoy the only life you will ever have?

Very good point, it is true that what we do now determine eternal damnation or exaltation. this is only a spurt in your existence. My bishop referred it to a knot in a long string, what you do at that knot(or in life) decides what will happen to you on the other side of that string. don't you think that's worth paying attention to your church's teachings?

This life is verifiable. 'afterlife' is a fantasy world invented to keep you in submission to authority.
