Some people say that they've been healed by prayer. If God heals to sick, why does he never do anything that couldn't have happened on it's own, like healing amputees?

If you watch this video and still believe in prayer, you are blinded by your religion.

Genesis, chapter 2;3: So God blessed the seventh day and hallowed it, because on it God rested from all his work which he had done in creation.
Hebrews, chapter 3;11: As I swore in my wrath, `They shall never enter my rest.'"
Hebrews, chapter 4;3: For we who have believed enter that rest, as he has said, "As I swore in my wrath, `They shall never enter my rest,'" although his works were finished from the foundation of the world.

and when do you think god was finished resting or is he still at rest?

please add more then just scripture

I had another question and learned that I was being too ignorant about a friend's faith but she's really busy right now and doesn't have time to explain it to me. (I think she may actually be mad at me for some of the things I said to her before about it...) I don't know what to look for really on the internet, and I wanted to know some of your opinions about Wicca, what it is, and how it is typically followed. Thanks.

Also.. how do you think I should apologize for what I said? I've already said I'm sorry, but I think I hurt her more than that..

I'm a man of reason. I consider myself to be open minded and don't have to have solid facts to believe in something. God however is a concept that I really have trouble believing. I'll explain why I don't believe in god, then maybe someone else can convince me otherwise

- "Gods" are man-made figures that humans create for things they don't understand. Ex: Egyptians created "Zeus" god of thunder cause they didnt understand thunder

- Evolution has better support for how the universe was created than a mysterious god. Maybe not the big bang theory, more like eternal matter, matter that always existed (just like god always existed).

- "Great miracles" don't occur anymore now that we have technology to explain everything (example: men splitting rivers etc.)

- Medical mysteries are the #1 cited source for "acts of god" If a person's dad got better from cancer, it is not an act of god, we just havent discovered everything in the medical field

Plz don't say "it doesn't hurt to believe"

I have had a long night (but obviousl not near as long as these other people!). I am blessed and cursed with the gift of being an empath (I feel other people's feelings...including those I only look at or have never met). I was a patient in the ER tonight and there was a tragic accident involving a little boy and a man...they were riding on a tractor and the tractor tipped over and fell on top of them...the little boy died and the man was LifeFlighted to a Major Medical Center. It was bad enough they wouldnt let ANYONE in the ER, including one mother who had her baby back there with her grandma. My questions are...why do I have this gift? Why does God let these things happen? And after I was released from the hospital and waiting on my ride, I was outside and these people were out there, and I was giving them their space, never said a word they didnt even know I was there, I didnt want them to, but I kept feeling DRAWN BACK to them each time I walked away from them. Why?

can intuition be wrong, or does doubt make it that way?

I believe that intuition was given to us by the Earth Mother as a means of protection and knowledge. I also believe that many people confuse intuition with "following your heart." Your heart can be wrong, but does that mean that intuition is always right?
