I've been to the depths of despair myself, but I've also seen God's faithfulness firsthand in my own life. Check out a little about my life at the first link below and feel free to drop me a line.

I know exactly how you feel. Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately or fortunately, until I took total responsibility for my actions, nothing changed. I actually changed when I read moby dick again. There is a chapter in there about Jonah. Jonah was told by God to go to Ninevah and preach that destruction would soon fall upon them unless they as a city repented. Jonah fled and went on a ship to Tarshish. (this is in moby dick, trust me if you haven't read it... maybe you have...) The sea became turbulent and eventually the crew decided that Jonah caused the violent waves, he was cursed so they threw him off the ship. God made a whale swallow him. It wasn't until Jonah said "I deserve this! This punishment is righteous" then he was spit out. He went to Ninevah preached and the city was saved.

Something came over me when I read that, I deserve this, I thought. It was a miracle, once I accepted my lot, asked for forgiveness and repented, everything suddenly turned around and has been good ever since. Within weeks of that happening I closed wounds from a previous marriage, I met my new wife and mother of my children, etc etc. That was many years ago, so it was no fluke.

Like I said, I know exactly what you are going through. Good luck.

I think a lot of people feel lost at some point in their lives. You are not alone. Sometimes a job, a marriage or some significant relationship doesn't work out ,and we're just back at the starting line. Don't be hard on yourself. Give yourself time. Talk with your friends and family. Best to you.

We like the song often look for love in all the wrong places.I'm not sure I have what your willing to hear right now but Jesus would really help you right now.He helped me when I felt like you do.Get to a church call on the Pastor there and pour your heart out.I don't know what you have for churches but I do recommend the Assembly of God not because they are the only church but because I did find the truth spoken there. God Bless and you will be in my prayers.

If you pray, don't pray to Jesus pray to God. But who are we kidding... youa re not looking for an answer in religion. You are having a mid-life crisis. You need a break from everything. You need a holiday, not religion or salvation of sort through a belief that everything will be fine if you have faith. No it WON'T be! Take a break before life takes a break on you.

It's very simple---Ask Jesus to come into your' heart and be the Lord of your'
life. Then find a good church and get involved. Read your' Bible.
I know you are getting a lot of conflicting answers here. To read the posts, it's like watching Heaven and Hell fighting over you.
Gods' laws are written on everyone's heart.......even if so very many refuse to read them!
I am praying for you.

Children are blessed with loving parents and solid direction. Adults have to take responsibility for their choices.

Children are led astray and abused by their parents who give them strict rules in how to act. Adults have to heal from these wounds.

Either way.....you will be okay. You've made it this far, and you are not lost....you are perfectly normal. Walk your path!

Avoid these religious nut balls - they just want to make themselves feel useful by "helping" you. I would run away in the opposite direction.
You're not lost, the world is lost. Stop worrying about what other people think and do what you feel is best for you.

whether you beleive in jesus or not, get serious & ask him to make himself real to you. tell him you have no peace or real happiness, i'm lost, with no direction, the love in my life has crumbled out from under me. with all the seriousness you possess bailey reach out to with every thing you have or don't have. tell him that you are desperate, & that you got to know that you know. one way or another. i'm praying for right now bailey be to immersed in the love he has alway's had for you. that's the reason he came into the "to seek & save that which is lost.
