Prayer is the elevation of the mind and heart to God:
+ In praise of his glory
+ In petition for some desired good
+ In thanksgiving for a good received
+ In intercession for others before God
Through prayer the Christian experiences a communion with God through Christ in the Church.
"For me, prayer is a surge of the heart; it is a simple look turned toward heaven, it is a cry of recognition and of love, embracing both trial and joy." (St. Thérèse of Lisieux)
"Prayer is the raising of one's mind and heart to God or the requesting of good things from God." (St. John Damascene)
But when we pray, do we speak from the height of our pride and will, or "out of the depths" of a humble and contrite heart? (Psalm 130:1)
He who humbles himself will be exalted; humility is the foundation of prayer. Only when we humbly acknowledge that "we do not know how to pray as we ought," are we ready to receive freely the gift of prayer. "Man is a beggar before God."
With love in Christ.

I watched the video but still didn't get it! I guess I am still blinded, am I?
there is a difference between a miralce and healing a disease.
healing an amputee is considered a miracle(miracles don't happen any more) however curing a disease is something else.
sorry man I am not an atheist. I was before but not anymore because I have learned my lesson and I don't want to repeat my mistake again.
All those videos are just a brain wash to make you an athest but they are pointless.
have you read something about our mind power could cure a disease.
there are medical records prove that our beliefs could actually cure our diseases. it's a matter of the mind and the beliefs.

ok i watched some of the video with the dice and it aggravated me , that video doesnt prove anything...things happen in Gods timing not in ours...people are healed by prayer all the time ..but i mean bad things happen and thats part of life and sometimes we just all have a cross we have to carry thats part of our life and it has nothing to do with the fact that god didnt want to heal us but sometimes god lets things happen to us to minister to other people who might be going through the same thing and things do happen for a reason believe me ...i have asked myself lots of times why i have to be an epileptic and have to be on all kinds of medicines since i was 17 and now am 33 and been through lots of memory losses and horrible side effects from different meds and right now am getting use to some new meds .. but i know that there is a reason and u have to believe that god has a reason and a plan for your life and for everyones life ...i hope that some of what i said helps you ..

for me, God does not rely to the prayers uttered by a person but by faith in his heart. Remember not all prayers are being answered. We ough to say that if God closes the door, He opens the window.
Peace be on earth as we do always been praying but the true peace is found in your heart in your mind no matter what kind of environment we have.

Look the devil is using you as a puppet.
If you have never been sick, you would never know what healing is.
God is returning soon and ALL signs are in place.
This world is going to change horrificly in the blink of an eye and if you dont want to be here during the worst 7 years of hell on earth I suggest you stop badgering chrisitans like the rest of the world and ask Christ yourself to let you feel the truth

They define 0.01% as a "high success rate" when it comes to answered prayers. They consider that to be evidence that prayer works and think that the remaining 99.99% FAILURE was simply the will of God.
Also, why did jesus say that ppl would do everything he did (miracles) and more, but we have not seen it? No one has the faith of a mustard seed? Hmmmm................

Because I have faith. Hope in what I don't see. Prayer is amazing. I don't have a religion, I have a relationship. It's beautiful too. I hope you have one with the Creator of heaven and earth. :)
