I've seen it on here several times where people have stated that they chose their particular religion/faith because God "spoke to" their hearts. If this be so, why is it that--when speaking to hearts--God doesn't lead (for lack of a better phrase) everyone to the same religion?

Not trying to start a brawl here, just asking a question...

Did you know that a great number of Christians in America (including the Amish and Mennonite community) are against going to war but they are also against votes and polling....

Imagine how much peace in America is unaccounted for because secular Christian/Republicans take the spot light in the media!

Matthew 5:38-48; John 18:36; Romans 12:18-21; and I Corinthians 6:18

Are you an Anti-war Christian?

Hi! I've recently been attending an LDS church. I haven't been baptised yet, but i'm pretty sure thats where i'm heading. I've been going with my friend who's 16, but I just turned 18 last week (i'm still in high school), so I'm wondering if I should go to Institute and....whatever class is after Young Womens. Problem is we have a SMALL stake, and I don't know anyone in the higher age (well, that isn't married or like 30). Should I keep attending the younger classes, or go on to the older classes? What do they do at Institute?

P.S. please only answer if you're a mormon or former mormon and your answer is RELEVENT. I've heard a million reasons why i shouldn't join, i dont want to hear anymore.

My boyfriend and I have dated for over a year. (We're 19, in college) We're both strong Christians who have worked our hardest to keep God at the very top of everything. We've never gone further than some making-out in the past, which we've stopped. Recently, I almost feel like we're starting it up again... After messages or quiet times, we would feel guilty about it and convicted to stop it once and for all, and focus on a God-centered relationship. But when the moment seizes us, especially if we're like taking a walk alone, it's hard to resist a little kiss, which can turn into a long kiss, which fortunately doesn't turn into much else. Sometimes I just want to turn to him and say "I love you. Let's not do this and stay true to God. I don't want you to stumble and I want us to be right with each other and with God." But I've never gotten the willpower or courage... Please help...? Any advice for us would be greatly welcomed. Thanks.

God will pass his jugement on us all and we all have to answer 4 our sins but the awful things u say are considered to be blasphiming and that is the only un-forgivable sin. God has done so much 4 all of us even u stop trashing him and start prasing his name. sin is not a joke and I promise u this u will not be laughing when u land your self in hell

The perception is that the servant of God was excommunicated because he incorporated indigeneous African practices into Catholic mass and practiced mass exorcism. My problem is the undestanding of the unwelcomed African practices and this notion of mass exorcism. I welcome answers that will explain the very reasons that can make such a figure in the Vatican to be excommunicated and latter lead such a person to dump his belief and decide to marry.

A path to live a righteous life. Is it the God of the universe or prophets and messengers that one surrenders to? What if one believes In a creator but not in those who came along to bring messages which just may be all corrupted as pple tend to distort messages that might have been pure initially? A trust In a Powerful God with a distrust for people. A message of truth or half truths? who is it one surrenders to? who is it one worships?

Preface: We all have our own beliefs, I'm not judging yours so don't judge mine.

*I believe there was a man named Jesus and he DID die for what he believed in, but it really has no effect on my life or my "afterlife."

*I believe the books of the bible were written as fables intended to show people how to live good, decent lives.

*I don't believe that Jesus rose from the grave, I believe his corpse was stolen or lost.

*I don't believe that Mary got pregnant without having intercourse.

*I don't believe in Satan.

*I don't believe in God spiritually, but I do believe there is a possibility that a being could exist in the fourth dimension, a being like that would seem divine to us.

*I don't believe in the afterlife, or Heaven & Hell. I believe that when we die, that's it... the end.

*I don't believe that Jesus could perform miracles, what people witnessed were illusions/tricks.

There's more, but those are the big ones. So, what religion does this match up with?

We all know that Max Muller, Mme Blavatsky, Dr. Annie Besant and the likes were strong votaries of Indian philosophy and religion.

'The Beatles' were also the disciples of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and Yehudi Menuhin practised yoga at the feet of BKS Iyengar. Michael Jackson considers Deepak chopra as his 'guru'. Dr.David Frawley is a peerless Vedic scholar and a convert to Hinduism.

Richard Gere is a convert to Buddhism and rockstar Tina Turner too dabbled with Buddhist meditations.

More and more westerners are getting attracted to Hinduism and Indian philosophy.

But why? ! ? !
