I believe that God has created the rule, which is called destiny, while he created life so that all the created play within this rule. Within this rule, what the individual does is his free will. Due to his actions, he acquires certain characteristics, which is called karma. To work out this karma, he takes birth after birth, until he is freed from the karma. Thus, the destiny and free will work in our lives. Regarding the place of grace, yes there is still scope for grace. Destiny does not work like an automated machine. One can invoke the divine will which is the fountain head of all the creative activity, by intense piety and devotion so much so that the ultimate divine will exercises his discretion to leave some elbow room for the individual to work out the karma faster and in a manner not originally destined.

GOD ONLY HAS KNOWLEDGE OF DESTINY...OUR ACTIONS ARE OUR VERY OWN...GOD HAS CREATED US WITH A FREE MIND AND HE HAS BEEN VERY KIND TO SEND GUIDANCE THROUGH MESSENGERS FROM TIME TO TIME...
HAD HE BEEN CONTROLLING ALL THAT WE CALL DESTINY..THEN WHY WOULD HE PROCLAIM PUNISHMENTS FOR SINNERS IN THIS LIFE AND LIFE AFTER DEATH.
