There are more similarities than differences.
Both would be considered cults. They teach at variance with the doctrine of the historic Christian church.
Both are led by prophets whose writings are regarded as on a par with the Bible.
Both prophets are false prophets according to the criteria in Deuteronomy
Both prophets violated what they taught. Joseph Smith was having a beer at Moesser's pub with some church leaders when one of his revelations came upon him. Mrs. White taught that is essential to keep kosher. She asked one of her members to come back from the eastern seaboard with some smoked shellfish (NOT kosher) because she liked them. The one she asked was scandalized.
Both have had analytical works done on their writings where they are shown to be plagiarized. SDA: The White Lie by Walter Rae, Beware this Cult by a SDA doctor Mormon: Cowdery Davis and Scales "Who Really Wrote the Book of Mormon" Floyd McElveen "Will the Saints go Marching in?"
and "Revelations of Convenience" Gerald and Sandra Tanner have written a number of books on this topic as well.
Mrs. White and the SDA hold that Jesus before He came to earth was the archangel Michael. The JW's believe this and it was the Adventists that taught them that.
The Adventists believe in the Investigative Judgement. This violates cardinal tenets of the historical Christian teachings about the atonement of Christ. In short, the Bible says that we are not worthy to enter heaven on our own merits. Christ didn't come back to earth in 1842,1843,1844 because He began his investigative judgement to see who is worthy to enter into heaven.
Sunday worship is the "Mark of the Beast" according to the Adventists.
Mormons believe that you are saved or your salvation improved by doing things - baptism, tithing, certain sacred rituals, and assorted good works.
SDA do not encourage their members to drink tea or coffee plus caffeinated beverages.
Mormons do not permit members to drink coffee. Tea may be a possibility and Coca Cola may not be forbidden since the church inherited a huge block of shares in the company.
SDA worship on Saturday
Most Mormon churches worship on Sunday although a number of the splinter groups worship on Saturday.
All Mormon groups hold that Joseph Smith was a prophet and this is a fact required for salvation.
SDA hold that Mrs. White is a prophet of God.

Seventh Day adventists believe that the Sabbath is still Saturday, while the Latter-Day Saints believe Sunday is the Sabbath. That's the only difference I know of, I don't know much about the Seventh Day adventists.

Both of them actually observe the Sabbath (meaning that they not only go to church on that day but also refrain from doing any secular activities that whole day) unlike most other churches, but Mormons believe it's on Sunday and Adventists believe it's on Saturday.

Both of them have modern day prophets, but the Adventists don't focus on it as much. They believe that Ellen G. White had prophetic visions and they hold her books in high regard, but they don't focus that much on her and don't claim that any of her writings are actual scripture. They only use the Bible. Mormons, however, believe that their prophet, Joseph Smith, was called by God to "restore" the gospel and uncover and translate new books of scripture to go along with the Bible. They believe that Smith translated the Book of Mormon, and two other books called the Pearl of Great Price and Doctrine & Covenants and that these books came directly from God.

They both have pretty different views on the afterlife than most traditional Christian churches. Adventists believe in soul sleep and annihilationism (the dead just rest unconscious in their graves until the resurrection, and then the wicked are simply destroyed by hellfire, rather than sent to a place called "hell" to suffer eternally). Mormons do believe in the immortality of the soul, but they believe people wait in either "paradise" or "prison" in a "spirit world" in between death and the resurrection. They believe people in prison will get the chance here to accept the gospel, so in the end, most people aren't actually going to be "doomed". At the resurrection, most people will be assigned to some "degree of glory" in heaven (the celestial, terrestrial, or telestial kingdom...which are all wonderful places, but of course the celestial is the best and the telestial has the least rewards) and only Satan and possibly a VERY small number of extremely awful humans will end up facing eternal torment in hell or "outer darkness" as Mormons usually call it.

seventh Day Adventists [are] Christians .... Mormons [are no longer] Christians..... Jehovah's Witnesses are coaching a faux interpretation of Christianity.... those are the least complicated motives without going into each and every man or woman doctrine. with the intention to be a Christian you're able to have faith the Bible [is] the infallible word of God and the Authority of the religion.

not sure but I will try answering (forgive or correct me if I am wrong!)

The seventh day adventists believe in abstaining from entering temples and holding joss-sticks. They also believe that God has a name, the way we humans have names.

The main difference I think, is in the way both feel about faith, or the defination of what "revelations" mean to them.
