Those who quoted 2 Peter 3 started reading to soon

You need to start with vs 5, This explains that New and Old, can mean a change of circumstances.

The earth and heavens we see today are the same as Noah saw. (The water canopy has been removed, but Jehovah didn't create "new" heaveans to replace the old.)

5 For, according to their wish, this fact escapes their notice, that there were heavens from of old and an earth standing compactly out of water and in the midst of water by the word of God; 6 and by those [means] the world of that time suffered destruction when it was deluged with water. 7 But by the same word the heavens and the earth that are now are stored up for fire and are being reserved to the day of judgment and of destruction of the ungodly men.

Peter is very clear, it is not the "earth" that is destroyed, it is ungodly men. When all the ungodly have been removed in the future, this planet will be new.

When Satan is ousted from heaven (Rev. 12) these is a new heavens.

The Old heavens and earth will be cleansed making them New again.

Passage Isaiah 65:21-24:

21 They will build houses and dwell in them;
they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit.

22 No longer will they build houses and others live in them,
or plant and others eat.
For as the days of a tree,
so will be the days of my people;
my chosen ones will long enjoy
the works of their hands.

23 They will not toil in vain
or bear children doomed to misfortune;
for they will be a people blessed by the LORD,
they and their descendants with them.

24 Before they call I will answer;
while they are still speaking I will hear
God is telling Isaiah of what is to come for the people that he is speaking of.

no, YOU SEEM TO MISUNDERSTAND...
Isa 65:17 “I will create NEW heavens and a NEW earth. The things that have happened before will not be remembered. They will not even enter your minds

2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slow to keep his promise. He is not slow in the way some people understand it. He is patient with you. He doesn’t want anyone to be destroyed. Instead, he wants all people to turn away from their sins.
2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar. Fire will destroy everything in them. God will judge the earth and everything in it.
2Pe 3:11 So everything will be destroyed. And what kind of people should you be? You should lead holy and godly lives.
2Pe 3:12 Live like that as you look forward to the day of God. It will make the day come more quickly. On that day fire will destroy the heavens. Its heat will melt everything in them.
2Pe 3:13 But we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth. Godliness will make its home there. All of this is in keeping with God’s promise.

Yes, definately. God's will will be done on earth just as Jesus asked it to be in his model prayer to his Father. The Bible says that the "Little Flock" of God's faithful ones will be bought from the earth to serve as kings and priests with Christ. The "other sheep", then, must make up the meek who will inherit the earth and live forever upon it. War, sickness, death, poverty, greed, violence, and all other bad things will be done away with and there will be true peace and happiness for all. The dead who have remained alive in God's memory will be brought back to life and everyone will be so pleased to have God ruling over them.
