in this big ole evil world would it be to much to ask if every one could find at least one person a week and say a few kind words and maybe do one kind deed a month? even the most evil of persons tend to soften up with just a simple kind word. what are your views. and what bible verses can you think of to support this?

ok so the humans were all evil and deserved to die during the flood. so wait here comes the question again. isnt god INFINITELY GOOD AND FORGIVING? what about the animals who had nothing to do with it, why would god flood the world and kill everything, is he like a immature kid with an ant farm that enjoys killing and flooding ants.

so noah build an ark, which he took two animals of each kind. so after the flood was settled the two animals reproduced with each other? it was like an incest and populated the world(like adam and eve?)

Two animals of every species that are in todays world could NOT fit the ark, even it was bigger than the empire state building.

So noah crossed all the continents and took the different million types of animals that exist scattered around the globe? we could say he went to antartica and got polar bears, wow its like he has a map and actually knows where antartica is and has a tranquilizer gun to capture polar bears.

Matthew 7:7 Jesus says:

Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For every one who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
In John chapter 14:14:
Whatever you ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son; if you ask anything in my name, I will do it.

In Matthew 18:19:
Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

I asked jesus to appear and he didnt, i asked for god to show himself and he didnt.. why did he lie?

Today in church, we read this thing (Christian) saying that Jesus went to hell and rose 3 days later. Is that true? Jesus has been to hell? I don't understand can someone explain. It was called the "Apostles Creed" or something like that.

by the writers? For you to say, "Gee, I'm just gonna get old and die, but if the end times show up that whole process won't be so lonesome." is just conceited. Everyone feels that they are at the 'centre' of everything because of course we are stuck in our own heads. But to extrapolate that out to the ending of the world as we know it.....making us 'special' ...is pure and simple conceit.

When are you Christians gonna get with the program...the world rotates around me...not you...get used to it. LOL

so, before the bible was written. basically no one was a christian etc. so they automatically went to hell? what about the Native Americans who did not have access to the bible until christopher columbus set sail and discovered america. yes they all went to hell huh because they worshiped their own gods? yet there was no way they had access to the bible and "god's teachings".

read...

"But very little of even the best … literature is perfect. It may be that we will have to point out the problems with the text: is an idea or concept in the story based upon mistaken assumptions? Was a character justified in an action? Or, was the action clearly wrong?"

question:No one, save Christ, is perfect. This means that there are flaws in people, and that everyone makes mistakes. Think about this along the lines of both the author of a story, and the characters of a story – how much can we trust them to tell the truth? Do you think we can learn what NOT to do as much as what to do? How can we tell the difference? What is our standard of good and bad fiction, of truth, goodness, and beauty?
