Exodus 35:2

"For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day shall be your holy day, a Sabbath of rest to the LORD. Whoever does any work on it must be put to death."

Either the bible IS god's word, or it isn't...you can't "pick & choose" which rules to follow! For those who said the OT Law no longer applies because of Jesus' sacrifice, the Ten Commandments are in the OT, aren't they?

No offense is intended to those who have to work on Saturday or Sunday (so do I), but I have no problem offending those who want to obey some scriptures and ignore others! Either it is all true, or it's all complete nonsense!

Good question. How would our society handle no one working on Sunday??

According to that verse the seventh day would be Saturday and not Sunday!
God will not kill anybody for working on Sunday or anyday for that matter! This verse was talking to the Israelites and not modern day Christians! You should read the rest of the Bible because it also says that God does not honor one day over another!

Christians are no longer under the law. Hebrews 8:6,7,13 ...He [Christ] is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises. For if that first covenant [the Law of Moses] had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second....In that He says, "A new covenant," He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.
(Christ "worked" on the sabbath.) Mark 3:4,5 Then He said to them, "Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?" But they kept silent. And when He had looked around at them with anger, being grieved by the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as whole as the other.

Well .. we're talking about a lot of people. WalMart, Target, Walgreens, Marshall-Fields, just about any retail store you can think of is open on Sundays. Hard to say with God when He will chose to put someone to death. It's really not privvy information to me. Good Luck! :)

He won't its not like the walmart employees have any choice in the matter. its either work or quit, and there aren't many jobs out there for the undereducated. Besides, all walmart employees aren't christian.
