Matthew 7:7 Jesus says:

Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For every one who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
In John chapter 14:14:
Whatever you ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son; if you ask anything in my name, I will do it.

In Matthew 18:19:
Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

I asked jesus to appear and he didnt, i asked for god to show himself and he didnt.. why did he lie?

You've heard it, I've heard it, everyone's heard it... " The lord works in mysterious ways " Maybe he has appeared to you, maybe he is appearing now in wise words to you from a stranger. No one can actually see God. I mean, look at the sun straight on; You can't can you? No, because it is too bright and intense, right? Well, think of it , God made ALL OF THE STARS in the UNIVERSE and our sun is just one of those stars and scientists say a SMALL one at that!! How could one person, a mere human, expect to see God in all his power if he could make all of those things ? It would be far more than anyone could handle!
And Jesus is now in Heaven , in his new established kingdom and preparing for Armeggedon. He and His father have heard your prayers and believe me, they do sincerely care about it. They are wanting EVERY last sheeplike one to come into their organization before all who are not willing to be a part of it are destroyed along with Satan and his cronies during Armeggedon. Now is a time of separation and they are really looking for the ones who love them and are seeking for them. KEEP LOOKING FOR THEM because it is people like you who will be saved and live again in paradise after Armeggedon! Then you will learn the truth of Jehovah and Jesus and the promises of Jehovah and be able ot gain to everlastin glife in a paradise earth. Is it worth waiting for? IF you want to know more, email me and I can even help answer more questions for you, if you want.

I am not Christian. I am Wiccan. BUT, there is a short blurb someone wrote about the Divine Power that might help you. Just because you are not seeing a person, or a manifestation that you expect to see, doesn't mean your God is not showing himself to you. Here's the blurb and I hope it lifts your heart:

"Goddess Speak to Me" -Author Unknown
A man whispered "Goddess, speak to me"
And a meadowlark sang but the man did not hear.
So the man yelled "Goddess speak to me!"
And the thunder rolled across the sky.
But the man did not listen.
The man looked around and said
"Goddess let me see you"
And a star shone brightly.
But the man did not notice.
And the man shouted
"Goddess show me a miracle"
And a life was born.
But the man did not know.
So, the man cried out in despair.
"Touch me Goddess and let me know that you are here!"
Whereupon Goddess reached down and touched the man.
But the man brushed the butterfly away and walked on.

That was a pretty frivolous and petty excuse for a request.. That reveals only a total lack of faith.. when one has to have visuals to accept anything of a spiritual nature. If you want those things to become a reality, you have to be on a bit higher level than the intellectual one. Would benefit you to find a verse explaining what faith is.

Because you don't ask in good conscious as a christian of faith. Your heart is not seeking truth, your brain is demanding proof, just like the Israelites of old did. They had to have something physical to believe in, so they created the golden calf at the foot of Mount Sinai, and see where that got them. Christians do the same thing, needing something physical to believe in, such as the cross. God and Christ are not physical. Since his resurrection, he appeared to only one man, Saul, and he was blinded because Christ exist in unapproachable light.

He didn't lie to you. When you ask for something IN HIS NAME, it means you are sincere in your request. And even then, He may either say yes, or no, or - the one that gets us all - wait.
And trust me - He will appear someday when He chooses to come back. Don't be like Thomas - Jesus said, "You believe because you see me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me."

Did you just now realize that? I began to notice it when I was age 7 or so. I may do a book on "10,002 Contradictions in the Bible" and a companion book on "10,003 Scientific Errors in the Bible". Then, I can do sequels with 10,002 and 10,003 more of each.

there are many incidences in which Chritians saw Jesus, and many other miracles. If Jesus, God the son and God didn't appear to you, you have to examine yourself such as Did I truly repent and turn from all sins?, Am I truly born again? or am I still sinning? or am I merely professing to be a Christian?, Do I keep all His commandments? see ...I will do it...If you love me, keep my commandments, John 14:12-15.Please read Bible Truths Unmasked written by Finis Jennings Dake,www.dake.com

Why do you have to be so simple minded. Sweetie if Jesus would appear at the drop of a hat there would be so many more believers in this world. That is the jist of it....you have to have FAITH.

When God said, whatever you ask in my name......... that means the name of Jesus, his final sacrifice, in his name means to believe like him. Jesus believed God. Therefore Jesus surrendered under God.

You can't just say, I want this and that, without believeing like Jesus. You have to ask fo it in His name. Which means like Him. In agreement to his example. Complete surenderence unto God.

Not just out of mockery!

Who's to say that He didn't reveal himself to you? Were you really open to meeting him on his terms, or were you stuck on your terms? Asking for something in his name, means asking according to God's will. But if one is trying to manipulate God into doing their bidding, then guess what, it doesn't work that way!
