When did you know, become a believer, a Christian, a Pagan, an Atheist, a Muslim, etc, etc, etc? What made you gain "faith?" When did you find "religion" or your philosophy or your way of life? What brought you to your path?

Call me morbid, but today I thought about planning my funeral. Even though my family and my husband's are catholic, I do NOT want those people having the last word about my life. Nor do I want a generic christian minister.

I do not belong to any church and I do not follow any religion. I'm not sure what, if any, message or words I would want delivered, what last words I might want to leave.

So what are my options? I don't want to throw a party like an Irish wake - I think people need to grieve and need closure. Don't want to force them to be chipper. And I want to be respectful of all the catholics who want to pray and do their thing.

Let me have your wildest and wackiest ideas!

As we all know this was the instruction of Jesus "Do this in memory of me" and beside there is also a warning on it and it says "Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup." (2Cor 11:27-28)

I don't believe that the Catholic church is God's church. Why? Because it's teachings are not inline with the Bible, and they have leaders that have different names than the ones Jesus called in His church when he was here on the earth organizing his church. I also think that the Catholic church just took some of the main ideas from Christ's teaching and made their own religion, and it was the first one after he went back to heaven, so everyone jumped on the band wagon to be a part of it. All the Apostles died, Remember? That means that the truth and the power of God went with them. They never gave it to anybody else and couldn't start their own religion cuz they were already leaders in Christ's religion, which ended when they all were killed.
Honestly, now, go study the bible with a little more depth.

My goal is to one day stand before my father and have him say well done my good and faithful servant. I try to represent the proverbs 31 woman and I would have to say that I am most like a Ruth.

Is there a really good section and not-so-good section?

I guess I'm asking if God grades on a "Pass-Fail" basis.
If so, I'm shooting for a "C" average

on a comment i just made about satanism? ok.......

The name of the religion is SATANISM : obsession with or affinity for evil; specifically : the worship of Satan marked by the travesty of Christian rites. this is directly taken from webster's dictionary, i got thumbs down for that lol.

Even if you don't believe in 'satan', your taking everything he's about, carnal and sinful things directly out of the bible and using those as your main 'doctrine'. TO RICIDULE CHRISTIANITY, i'm sorry but thats exactly what satanism is. If you would like to read more about the 'church of satan' go to this link http://www.churchofsatan.com/home.html. Good day! :)

I'm just wondering, because people have been saying that the world is going to end for thousands of years.
Does anyone have any good infromation on a specific date?
Personally I think we have a minimum of a couple of billion years, but thats just a rough guess based on the rate at which the sun is burning its fuel.

And my husband and me fight constantly and we have tried everything to rekindle our love but it is hopeless. And I want to be married and have a big family but obviously it isnt going to work with the man I am married to. But I dont want to be considered an adultress. So would God allow me to divorce and remarry? And also, my husband got into trouble last year for hitting me. My husband doesnt do that anymore but still. Why would God want me to stay in this marriage?

Bible says there is no universe, just the Earth and heaven separated with a firmanent.

Do they believe in sun as a star and moon as a satelite:

If they do, they should accept evolution as well!

Bismillah
I urge all of my fellow muslim brothers and sisters to stay away from the site, you can prove any point you want but they will still call you names make fun Mohamed(pbuh) and our religion, there is no point for this uncivilized discussion, A great muslim scholar once said,"I have won every single debate against a smart person, but never have I won against a stupid one." Allahu-Akbar
Inshallah this will be good advice for some of you

I once had a dream that scared the hell out of me. I remember I was standing somewhere and all of a sudden I looked up. catching my attention was a white arm in the sky. It was hurling a spear towards the earth. Once it struck the earth there was panic and destruction. I heard screams echoing throught the earth. I was struck with fear. I looked around and I seen two horses. I remember at least one was black . The other may have been white. I remember to Armored Angels wielding swords. I took one stare at them and they stared back communicating almost telepathically as if they were telling me this is what is supposed to happen. After that I wasn't scared but I awoke from my dream. I have been worried about this dream for about two years now. Everything seems to be escalating to the apocalypse. What can this mean?

we as muslims accept and believe christianity as a religion sent by God. the difference is islam replaced it. islam replaced it because its teachings include the teachings of christianity. I do not like to discuss about it. I just want to learn the christian perspective to islam as a religion.

I personally feel that spiritism is to be avoided completely.
It may seem fun and innocent, but it is a snare that draws evil spirits.

What are your opinions?

BTW, some examples of spiritism are fortelling the future, contacting the dead, magic, the use of tarot cards, etc...

The only persons who would not be persuaded by proof would be the blind followers of a dogma written on goat skin from an age long ago.

Good luck to them in the dark, many of them come into the light.

Odd q,I know.
My mother recently found my diary(I m a teen) and started freaking out because I 'm dark to her and she wasnt "this dark when I was fourteen!!!".

Is it wrong to have "dark" thoughts and be happy with it?My dad says he was worse, and he didnt think it was a big deal. My mother on the other hand thinks what I have written (in my PERSONAL diary mind you) is wrong and that those thoughts shouldnt be going on.
I m confused out of my mind.I m a christian. Is there such a thing ,and is it right, to be godly and dark at the same time?

confusion.....
