The only persons who would not be persuaded by proof would be the blind followers of a dogma written on goat skin from an age long ago.

Good luck to them in the dark, many of them come into the light.

Um I'm not so sure your definitions of lightness and darkness are accurate. It seem that in the world, that both reason and blind faith are used for good and bad purposes.

Why is it that every-time an Atheist ask a question is always insulting and demeaning? Why makes you think we are in the dark? Do you have any proof? Believers go by blind faith, you have too, that is what the Bible says in John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only son, for whoever"BELIEVES" in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. The Bible also tell me that we are the light of the world. I believe that. Therefore that means to me that if you are not the Light of the World, you must be in darkness. Why are you in this category. There are others where you may feel more at home, like Philosophy, Science, etc.... Why do you insist on bashing Christians?

Hmmmm, I think it all depends on your definition of "prevail" and the level of victory implied. You can't say that light prevailed over darkness during the Spanish Inquisition, so the answer would be no in that circumstance. But, in the long term, global scale of knowledge and our general progress as humans, I'd say yes, we become more and more enlightened by science with each new discovery and each new invention that helps us to take another notch out of the great unknown.

Kudos on learning some Christian lingo, then perverting it for your own means. You sound like an intelligent person, but I think Christianity has just reached a little too far for you to grasp the concepts. I recommend college to get your head a little straighter. I've looked through your concepts of science and they seem to suggest about a 9th grade level. I sincerely hope you find some Truth.

and many respect your thinking and opinions... quite following the heard and look toward the real light of the world.

Blind aith IS darkness...its a darkness of the mind. A closed, illogical mind is always dark and refusing any common sense or logic at all.

I dispise being around closed minded people. Its a sickness to not use the logic and reasoning ability of the brain, but so many people just turn it off.
