I personally feel that spiritism is to be avoided completely.
It may seem fun and innocent, but it is a snare that draws evil spirits.

What are your opinions?

BTW, some examples of spiritism are fortelling the future, contacting the dead, magic, the use of tarot cards, etc...

Over 20 years ago I was jolted into the mysterious and metaphysical world of the Super-Natural – I became the psychic junkie. I had asked for it. But I didn’t expect my initiation to be so life changing; I slowly followed the path as it was opened up to me, one guided step at a time. I was being lead along the way from some place unseen to my five earthly senses. All I had to go on were subtle whispers from within and the outer synchronicities I was able to read as signposts along the way. The direct results in reality have been amazing.

I’ve been a professional clairvoyant for many years, in all four corners of the world, using my psychic insight to guide others on their own unique journeys.

Now, this brings me the to psychic seekers. I’ve set up this website so as to act as your personal mystic-coach. http://www.psychic-junkie.com/index.html

The bible is right when it tells you to stay away from spiritism, only because you do not know what doors you may open.

The thing is, one can cast a circle and use various means to protect themselves from anything coming in that you don't want there.

If you are interested in spiritism, go for it. Just make sure you do some reading and research, and make sure you can protect yourself and that you know what you are doing.

P.S. Foretelling the future or the use of tarot cards does not call for any kind of invocation. You are safe there, even without the circle.

My view is that spiritism is very dangerous. People who involve themselves in such allow place for the Devil and his demons to work you in away fashion they please. Its like bait. Wicked spirits uses different forms of spiritism to bring all sorts of people under their influence.

Spiritism was designed by the demons. This is how the demons mislead people. The practice of spiritism is involvement with demons, both in a direct way and through a medium. The Bible condems it and warns us to keep free from everything connected with it. (See Galatians 5:19-21)

If you think that spiritism is harmless fun, see accounts in Acts 16:16-18 mentions "a demon of divination" that enabled a girl to practice the art of prediction. Also, see 1Samuel 28:3-19, which gives us information regarding how badly fooled Saul was when he thought deceased Samuel was really speaking when it was one of the demons playing the part.

The Demons are like the roach motel; they check in, but they don't check out. They will use you until they use you up. Only by calling the name of Almighty God in earnest prayer can get you out. Not your friends, not your mama, not any man, for God is more powerful than the demons.

Yeah as someone that sees a dichotomy of supernatural power in the universe (either God or Satan), anything that isn't from God falls under a questionable category to me.

That being said, I love Harry Potter books, and other fantasy books with magic, but then they're just fun stories.

I know this very well, any of the sort will open up for evil spirits to possession. But, if that person knows what they are dealing with and continues that behavior, it's time to get away from that person. I have seen what they can do and it is not pretty.

You are obviously misinformed. Have you met Pangel, she is quite possibly the nicest person on Yahoo! Answers and she is a spiritist. Please learn about something before you insult it, the Bible is not the only book in the world...
