I know that Isreal's land once belonged to muslims and that the land was taken from us (right?) but shouldn't Jewish people have one country to themselves? Is there another Jewish country? I mean why are muslims exploding over Isreal, we already have many Muslim countries in the world, and the Jews needed a place to call their own especially after the Hullocost, aren't we being selfish. Shouldn't true muslims be pro Isreal? Aren't muslim countries fighting Isreal just because they want to root for their own people, i mean if a bunch of people took that land but they were muslim, i don't think it would have been this big a deal

I am interested in historical / cultural / social / anthropology or scientific answers only. I do not want answers that are based on religion, or that are religion in disguise. I previously placed this question in a non religious category, just for this reason.

On another note: The bible belt seems to comprise all the states that were part of the Confederacy, during the Civil War. It seems like it was either a product of the Civil War, or existed priviously.

And if it did exist previously? Then maybe it was one of the things that CAUSED the Civil War in the first place. The bible after all, was widely quoted during this period to justify slavery.

If it was a product of the Civil War instead, then perhaps religious fundamentalism flourishes anywhere where there is poverty and ignorance. That would have fit the period of reconstruction perfectly.

The New Testament consigns "unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's"; it demands that women be obedient to their husbands; it accepts faith healing, exorcisms, and miracles; it exalts obedience over independence, fear and trembling over courage, and piety over self-determination.
The Qur'an does not tolerate dissent, freedom of conscience, or the right to unbelief. It denies the rights of women. It exhorts jihad, holy war against infidels. It demands utter submission to the Word of God as revealed by Muhammad. It rejects the separation of mosque and state, thus installing the law of sharia and the theocracy of imams and mullahs.
True believers have in the past often found little room for human autonomy, individual freedom, or self-reliance. They have emphasized submission to the word of God instead of self-determination, faith over reason, and credulity over doubt. All too often they have had little confidence in the ability of humans to solve problems and create a better future by drawing on their own resources. In the face of tragedy, they supplicate to God through prayer instead of summoning the courage to overcome adversity and build a better future. The skeptic concludes, "No deity will save us; if we are to be saved it must be by our own efforts."

He is the founder of the protestant movement, but I have recently read an article that pointing him out as such a big Anti-Semite that he could just as easily have been a Nazi-party leader.

Im not talking of Martin Luther King though. (Im mentioning this because I know some of my fellow Yahoo answer users arn't as intelectually gifted as most)

Why would "God" have made us look like chimps and gorillas if we weren't part of the animal kingdom. Apes and humans have so much in common. Did he do it just to test our faith?

...he tampers with scientific tests/results as well? I should think so. He probably planted all these false fossil records all over the planet too, not to mention playing around with carbon dating methods. Nothing is beneath him after all.

I come to know my religion when I was 14 years old. I followed it because my parents ask me to do so,they told me otherwise i'll be punish by the god. Later stage I come to know the Bible is full of fairy tale crap. Like the Nova ship , The Gods creation of the world and men , Jesus magic which makes me to think reality than the magic in it. When i reach my higher education , learning Charles Darwin and other scientific teaching's I thought why the other stupid ed0ts cannot think beyond the bible and accept science theories. Currently i see a lot of stupidity is happining around the world because of religion and its followersextremist. Religion has become a ego of each and everybody daily life. Stupid religion books can create a dedly man to blast himself in front of a school of other religion people. This is all because we follow the parents beliefs and without questioning them we will continue to think inside that box. The box is Our parents religous beliefs. Later we will continue

...Christians... they believe something simply because it gives them a good feeling inside to believe it. They think this feeling is some kind of spiritual experience, that "God" is trying to tell them something or filling them with the holy spirit. Having others who believe the same as them also comforts them. They don't believe in evolution and they try to disprove it with crap like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hws2VWWBG0Y

I wish they could see how ridiculous they are, but only a minority of them ever will.
