I am a muslim who is thinking about Isreal?

Question

I know that Isreal's land once belonged to muslims and that the land was taken from us (right?) but shouldn't Jewish people have one country to themselves? Is there another Jewish country? I mean why are muslims exploding over Isreal, we already have many Muslim countries in the world, and the Jews needed a place to call their own especially after the Hullocost, aren't we being selfish. Shouldn't true muslims be pro Isreal? Aren't muslim countries fighting Isreal just because they want to root for their own people, i mean if a bunch of people took that land but they were muslim, i don't think it would have been this big a deal

The history of Muslims and Jews isn't so good. Each side has reason to really dislike the other.

But this question is kinda dumb if you think about. Israel is the one with massive amounts of aid (including weapons) from western countries. Israel is occupying land that it does not rightly own.

You should be asking why doesn't Israel give back Palestinian land and work for peace instead of degrading these people and pushing them to poverty?

Also TRUE jews are against Israel. They believe Israel shouldn't be formed until the messiah comes. Read your torah and check online if you don't believe me.

The birth of Isreal was after the Jews were persecuted by the CHRISTIANS in Europe and not by the Muslims. So it was supposed to be the responsibility of the Chiristians to curve out a land from their own and creat a Jewish state and not force people out of their land.
If you see today in Palestine the don't even have a state of thier own. Give them their right and see the muslim world accepting the Jewish state. You cannot do terror on others and call others terrorists. Its like the pot calling the kettle black
Also don't forget the history when the crusaiders came and raped, tortured and killed Jews, they were not muslims but Chirstians. We should look at the past to build the future

I'm sorry to say but Islam has only been around since 660CE. But the God of Abraham promised the Holy Land to Abraham's descendants - the Children of Israel, aka the Jews - about 1500 years before Mohummad talked to his Allah.

The problem is that in the first centry, Rome took away the Holy Land from the Jews (they weren't allowed in the Holy Land under penalty of death) and renamed it "Palestine". So for almost two thousand years Jews weren't with a home because of the Roman Empire. During that time other people of different faiths and backgrounds came into the land and settled there.

So actually the original owner, God, is the only one who can lay claim to the land, yet He gave that small sliver of land to His choosen people, the Jews. Everyone else has the entire planet to own if they want, and yet so many want to take the Holy Land away from the Jew.

That's a very valid point. The two state solution is the only way to resolve this problem. The problem is that the land in the middle east was inhabited by Muslims but politically not under their direct leadership and subsequently lost. It is sad that the Palestinians are still stateless while this issue is politicized by their Muslim brothers and sisters. The majority of the Muslim political leaders look at this situation as a zero-sum game, Israel must lose for the Muslims to win but it doesn't have to be that way. Unfortunately, the U.S. does not have the willpower to resolve this issue.

It is true that the fact that Israel is predominantly Jewish is the biggest reason Muslims want to wipe it off the map. It is disturbing to see that grown men on both sides cant resolve their differences on the currently unproven prospect of religion. Such petty disagreements will be our undoing, however it is very reassuring to hear other people like yourself talking sense and reason. Ultimately it is the divisions we make for ourselves that cause the problems in the first place, and unfortunately we must get along or die.

Too bad we can't all just get along. It would be nice if the Jews Had Israel as their country and Muslims were free to come and go as they please. The hard part of this issue is not who had the land first, but that both religions as well as Christians have holy places in Israel that mean so very much to them.

It is true the muslims have many countries to live in- if you check out the tanahk- old testament- you can read where the land was given to Israel- Part of the Koran talks about killing the infidel-an Arabic pres/king of one of the middle east countries wants to wipe Israel off the map-and kill all the jews. Jews have no other homeland or counrty to call their own. It is a sad case.

No disrespect to anyone, don't want to start an argument, but there was and is so much free land in Australia, why were the jews not sent there? Australia has 20,000 acre sheep farms for crying out loud!!! would've saved alot of hassle.

its not that muslims countries are fighting isralies, its Isreal whos is fighting muslim countries, all they wanna do is have more land, and if u havent notice we are the world fastest growing religion and we need as much land as possible its not being selfish, we are just looking out for our futures. and isreal is also trying to take over palestine, and killing innocent people everyday, is it true or not? i think its very tru

Lily, I have to agree with you. Not all Muslims are bad people, in my opnion, because many have good consciences like you do.

I think that what both our countries do, sometimes, is wrong. It is not something we can really do much about. We can, however, teach our children not to be like them, someday, and to have their own mind. To be free thinkers, and not to let politicians rule their thoughts, because our children are the future of this world.
