Here's the deal... It will take an unusual mixture of "will, faith, vision, and endeavour" ... to overcome our current problems ... okay ... I do not define myself as being of any orthodox religion ... and likely I disqualify my answer here by asserting these qualities usually viewed as "spiritual"- namely "will, faith, vision, and endeavour" ... the "problem" we need to overcome is here:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AkhaEQpqxXmwQyfcuIhXYmXsy6IX?qid=20060912193714AA6txmr
If we don't not overcome this problem, we will not survive ...
I draw a bit of faith from the famous atheist John Lennon's remark, "I tell them there are no problems, only solutions..."
Without recapitulating Jung's "collective consciousness" ... I would like to speak a bit about a relevant zoological observation called "The 100th monkey" ... This was an observation that a monkey on an isloated island began washing his yams in saltwater ... Several months later ... Monkeys disconnected on other islands began washing their yams in saltwater for flavor ...
The point of this is "ideas are contagious" ... Despair and Sartre "angst" and hopelessness are likewise contagious ...
When I repeat three times in variegated shades the same question , "Shouldn't clean energy be the only spiritual question?"... In so doing I feel very much the "hundredth monkey"...

But then, before you know it ... I am speaking with a Hindu studying at MIT about the scientific plausibility of tanking hydrogen down for clean alternative energy ... A Christian (whom despite a view that believes in Revelation's vision of an ultimate Judgement) .. still believes that in the interim it should be a human duty to be custodial to the earth ... and agrees that weapons makers and oil interests should put aside their mistakes and do the same ... Likewise Muslims that believe the same ... and agnostics and atheists ...
So I believe "100th monkeys " are the necessary element for us to evolve and accept one anothers differences ... The hundredth monkey has "an impossible faith in his own visions about what better 'could be;" ... he will selflessly elaborate his idea not expecting a royalty ... Not even expecting a credit ... actually hoping that someone intelligent will steal his ideas and fulfill them for the good of all ... The vanity and egotism of the many is his primary obstacle ... But he is also wily enough to incorporate those vanities to his idea's advantage ... His motivation is a child's eyes ... Like many others he is willing to die to better his world ... Unlike many others he is willing to go "unnoticed" in that death ...

Excellent Question!!
The only way this is going to happen is with a fundamental shift in human consciousness. There thus far are few people on the planet who have a glimpse of this necessary shift. One of my favorite authors who is a teacher of enlightenment is Eckhart Tolle. If you read the book (or better yet listen to the CDs) of "The Power of Now" it can explain how this fundamental shift of consciousness must take place.
Human beings have been in the grip of egoic mind domination for eons now. Dogmatic religions and political ideologies such as communism have kept us in bondage to these detrimental mind patterns. Real transformation has to happen internally on a large scale before it can be manifested externally. So to answer your question to socially evolve it has to happen through a revolution ally spiritual transformation that doesn't involve religions that are faith based but are experiential based or a direct connection with the source.

Well, i don't really think so. Although, if we put our minds to it and try, we should be able to evolve. That's a really serious question. But as long as we believe in what the government tells us, we'll never change. The gov. controls what we do, say and watch. they control who we see, where we go... They control everything. And they won't let go of that control which means humankind will never "Socially Evolve".
Just a thought right?

Evolution is such a slow process, you aren't aware it's happening. Take heart - and know that your own life is making a difference. When individuals can open their minds and accept their neighbors - when individuals will stand up for what is right - if each of us looks hard at ourselves to try to change that which is base and wrong - we all evolve.

In God's new system, ALL people on earth will obey Him. Through Jesus of course. So there will be NO differences. This is what the Judgement of Revelation 20; 12,13 is all about. Not about what we did when we were alive in THIS SYSTEM but how we accept God's NEW system.

Good question. I have always considered "social compatiblity" as the last frontier of human development. I don't think we'll ever get there. In fact, we seem to be moving further apart. Look at the divorce rate, splintered families, hostilities in the world, crime rates, etc.

Yes! There are many of us humans, that believe in "accepting differences".
It will work out one day.....sooner or later.
Great Question!

I doubt it. War and fighting have been going on since the beginning of time, when man didn't like about each others differences and fought for territory and power.

YES-whenever they quit emphasizing their differences in race, religeon, etc. and come together.
Most people who want equality then demand acknowledgement of their personal differences in race, or beliefs or everything else.
This separates them even more, and they don't understand that.
So Yes-or Maybe someday when people realize this.
