It's about being sanitary. Pork needs to be cooked fully, and back in the hay days, the old times, it was really that sanitary. When you don't prepare things properly, especially pork, you get sick you get worms in your tummy, people die. It's A LOT easier to just say, don't eat it, than figure out what's wrong. Of course, if they had knowledge on microbials it may have turned out differently, but they didn't.

hey not so ireverant. The rules change many times. Like when they left the garden, only vgys then meat too. then no pig, perhaps cuza trickynoses. then Romans 14 eat anything. As many times as God changes his directions I can understand why some say He is female. Put the couch here, wait no over there, we need a new couch lets go shopping, 72 virgins that has got to be the ultimate lesson in patients.
Really the rules change as to why I do not know. Different changes different reasons maybe. Perhaps he alters the rules to give everybody a chance to be obedient.
I found that when I made God my friend that I lost a taste for pig. Go figure.

This comes from experience and the EXODUS. Some forms of meat do not last long after being Killed and salted for preservation. Pig(pork) is one of these not to mention getting tricinous in the meat.they did not have the means to refrigerate the meat as we do.
So GOD told them to be on the safe side not to eat of these animals. In some of the religions this has been relaxed or special prayers have been made for those that accidentally eat of these animals in modern society.

You no what. Lets get down to facts. Ask any Jew and he will tell you that it is forbidden to eat pork in their religous scriptures. Now since, the law of the Jews was directly send to them by God through Moses, as we Muslims belive, this law never changed. Now to all those christians out there, Jesus said in the bible, "I have not come down to teach any new law. What holds true from the law of Moses holds true today. Who so ever breaks any of the commandments to even a doth or tithel will not enter the kingdom of heave". No how in the world can you christians eat pork when here Jesus clearly says that he did not come down to break any of the commandments. Also if say that it is written in the bible that "what ever enters your stomach doesnot effect your jdgement rather its your deeds that count" I agree, what ever enters your stomach doesnot affect your judgement, Its a genral stament and its true. what u eat wont affect you. However, this verse cannot be made the pretext of saying that pig eating is allowed since then we may have to say that the earlier statement said by Jesus was a lie. ( which we muslims will never agree to, Jesus will never lie because he was the true messager of GOD) May God bless you all.

so there is different between (animals) and (cattle)

i think allah has forbidden us not to eat pork and some foods for our own good. Like we are not allowed to have alcohol because they damage brain cells, get you drunk, put you in dangerous situations. Pig is actually very bad for you because they eat anything, table scraps, old meat, ****. etc, animals like cows and chickens only eat vegetarian stuff.

The law of Moses forbids the eating of pigs. Abraham passed this law to his decedents. Neither Jew or Muslim eat pork.

WINE
Any Animal who was sacrificed in the name of some other diety rather than Allah
any dead animal
