The Bible talks about being sexual immoral as a sin see 1 Corinthinas6. God has some strong warnings about his subject.

But everyone I know that has slept around, has sex before marraige and lived together before marriage seem to have no repercussion of consequcneces.

Thier children/granedchldren are healthy and strong, they have nice places to live, they dont seem to have a care in the world and they are propsering.

My husband and I abstained until we were married and we have gotten ourt butts kicked financially 2003-2004 was the worst time financially in our marraige, we struggle, we are under a tremdnous amount of stress as we are relocating and staying with family,
There are ways we are blessed, but money is tight no matter what we do.

My question is how do you put in perspective when people in the world seem to be winning in life and the godly christians constatnly get attacked? I dont want to become bitter or miserable,
I do constnatly turn this over to God.

...to make a hell, forced to write a rule that says if we stupid/evil ants don't worship him we must be thrown into the bonfire.

A god of infinite compassion and love couldn't come up with a better rule than that?

I'm supposed to worship a god of such limited imagination, love and compassion?

Or do you have to believe in Jesus to be a nice, caring person with strong morals?

is marriage something that is defined by a piece of paper, or is it something deeper. How does God know that two people are married if it is only a piece of paper defining this marriage? What is marriage to God?

I am a Mormon, and proud of it, and I'm sick on why people beat on and make fun of us for our beliefs. We believe a Man was called of God, and saw an Angel directing him to translate the Golden Plates, into what is now the Book of Mormon.
Why don't you guys make fun of Buddhism while you're at it? Hinduism? Islam? Why do you people have to bash us down? It is our beliefs, please respect it.
The reason why us Mormons practiced polygamy was because way back then when women didn't have rights, when the husband died, they lost everything, Land, house, children, etc. So we used plural marriage to prevent this, not for pleasure. We have banned plural marriaged to this day because there is no need for it.
And Damn the mormons who still practice polygamy for pleasure. They scar and make the true Mormons, the Latter Day Saints look bad.
And we Believe that Satan/Lucifer was once a Heavenly Son, like us all, but simply turned away. We still worship the same Jesus Christ, and not JS.

"I have not heard Muslim leaders come out and condemn those Muslims who commit mass murder in the name of their God. If they are truly relegion of peace this is the time for them to speak."

The pope was right to say what he has said and
for such a peaceful religion the followers of Islam have a tendency to use “the threat of violence” when they don’t like what they hear.

If Muslims were as quick to publicly condemn the suicide bombers who cowardly kill and maim in the name of Islam, then maybe we'd start taking other things they whinge about more seriously.

Its ok for Islam to print, say and spread anti christian and anti semetic propaganda. As soon as someone writes a book, says anything or even draws a cartoon even remotely anti Islamic, the death threats and the bombings and the looting and sacking of embassies etc starts.

Here we go again! Dare to say anything which could be construed as criticism of Islam, and the usual bandwagon of vilification and hatred gets underway.

Why not wonder "why do people see us in this light; why do people say such things about us?" and seek to change perceptions?!

By giving the usual reaction, Muslims merely reinforce the stereotypical view - it perpetuates the vicious circle.
With all the ongoing crisis in the middle east, as far as I can see, the quote makes a valid point.

If Muslim world's anger can simply be aroused by a quote, it's probably time to get some anger management.

I am DEEPLY tired of the islamics throwing their hands up in horror every time someone even remotely criticises their religion, and yet they feel it is okay to savage anyone (figuratively and literally) that is not of their faith.

Tolerance works both ways; if they want non-islamics to accept them, then maybe they should try to accept that not every living thing wants to be a muslim.

'No real effort to understand Islam'. Oh boo-hoo-hoo. Since when was the onus suddenly on everyone else to understand Islam? People make judgements based on what they see and experience over time. What else is there to understand? Sounds like a spoilt teenager wailing 'no one understands me, I'm so special and unique'. Why doesn't Islam make more effort to understand why a fair number of people dislike it so much?

Instead of Muslims attacking the Pope on his statement, they should be stopping the terrorist groups etc. Why can Muslims sit back and say nothing about attacks in the west but shout with anger when someone questions there way of spreading Islam. Moderate muslims have to choose the sword or democracy there is no in between.
Simple question: Do records show that Mohammed did say something along these lines? Given how he behaved, the answer is probably yes.

Yet again, Muslims are trying to rewrite their own violent history, shutting down any *factual* discussion of history by pretending to be offended rather than countering arguments with facts and getting us to give up our own valuable freedom of speech.
I am not surprised that the Muslims are complaining, all they do. Even historical quotes seem to ruffle there feathers. Yet when they say anything about Christianity or the West we just sit there and take it.

They can only dish out criticism not take it.
How about all the scum that rant and rave on our streets about how evil the West is and openly rejoice in the events of 9/11, retract all their statements?

Once again the Muslims/Islam are having another cry about some words someone has said. This shows how weak Islam is as a religion, say or draw something and they get upset BORING. My faith and beliefs in my own religon transend any petty words or drawings....
Time for Islam to grow up and become part of the world community that we live in....

He was mentioning an historical fact. Islam is the only world religion who's so called "prophet of peace" spread his word by the sword. Did Jesus or Buddha ever take up arms and resort to violence? No. Any religion that leaves room for interpretation of violence, justifies suicide bombing and advocates the repression of women cannoty be viewed as a religion of peace. If Muslims wish us to view thier religion as peaceful then they need to learn tolerance of other views and stop their murdering.

Surely Islam's ridiculously disproportionate response to things such as this and the Mohammed cartoons will only tarnish Islam's image yet further?

For heavens sake. The muslims are upset AGAIN. Are these people really that childish and insecure that every single comment upsets them.
Wouldn't it be so nice to have even a couple of days out from this constant whingeing. What offends most here is that our lives are constantly dominated by this nonsense. Why don't these people grow up?

Let's just say there is a creator. What makes anyone think that we will have eternal life after we die? The former seems harder to believe than the ladder. Don't tell me because a bible says so. I want to know why anyone would feel without a doubt that we exist after we expire.

How can any supporter of Muhammed and the evil book he wrote, claim he was not immoral. I don't blame the Pope (even though I'm not Catholic) for pointing out the things he did about Muhammed. He was a fake! An immoral false prophet! Muhammed himself knew he was a fake. How can he or anyone know justify the massacering of the Jews that he did?

Now I know some of you Quran supporters will say that the Bible teaches violence. The New Testament does not teach violence at all and that is what we are to live by. The New Testament and the things that Jesus taught are far more superior than the Quran and the immoral and ungodly teaching of Muhammed.

How can you claim Muhammed was not immoral???

I also tutored my little sister who thankfully graduated high school.I helepd mom moved, did all her errands, found her a family doctor, etc. Now did i did all that was needed, I wish to start my life again.Well, I have not been working for over a year now. It hurts! Been looking everywhere and still no luck. I also wish to move out. Im tired of being blamed for everything. I dont understand why Im still here. I prayed and ask god for help and its like he is ignoring my prayers. All prayers that were answered where pertaining to others. I dont understand. I'm feeling burned out. The last few weeks I have been feeling weak, like my body was too heavy for me. I only eat once a day. I was feeling so tired that i wanted to take a nap but my heart beat where weird. Like it was slowing down and it scared me.

Why are the Pope's comments more offensive to Muslims than when a Muslim terrorist claims he is doing Allah's work by killing innocent civilians? Why are the words of an "infidel" (the Pope) more offensive than the deeds of a faithful murderer?
