In Judaism, the newer a copy of the Torah is the more valuable and therefore considered more accurate.
For NT believers, the older a translation is the more accurate it is.

Read below. Its a discussion between a muslim and a christian in a chat room. It gets cut off near the end because the muslim had to go.

Matt: Is there any evidence that the Quran is from God?
Abdul: Yes
Matt: What evidence is there?
Abdul: None can make a verse / ayah of Qur'an. That's the evidence.
Matt: Excuse me, but that is no evidence.
Abdul: Well.
Matt: Merely stating it, doesn't make it so. Would it not be better to have some extraordinary evidence or miracles to validate the supernatural quality of the book?
Abdul: No. Muslims hear & obey. They hear Allah & Rasool and obey.
Matt: You mean, we are to have no evidence of anything extraordinary when extraordinary claims are made? So, if I made an extraordinary claim that God spoke to me, should you then simply believe it or would you rather have some proof?
Abdul: Yes. Just you have to accept & obey when its from Allah / Qur'an
Matt: Which? Would you merely accept what I said or would you want some evidence that what I said was true? Which?
Abdul: Please read the Qur'an fully insha allah you will get every evidence.
Matt: May I say something?
Abdul: Ok
Matt: The Bible has a great deal of evidence to support it: archaeology, fulfilled prophecy, etc.
Abdul: Ok
Matt: It claims to be the self-revelation of God and it is accompanied by extraordinary events and many miracles. For example, Moses parting the Red Sea, Enoch going to heaven, Jesus walking on water, etc.
Abdul: Look. It was also from Allah. But it was changed. Now only Quran is unchanged
Matt: Why should I trust the Quran over the Bible?
Abdul: Look
Matt: If you say it has been changed, how do you know it has been changed?
Abdul: Quran has also this type of evidence.

If they only say Quran is right and the OT and NT are flawed due to translation and editing errors, What parts of the OT and NT are truthful? Are there any Muslims who can answer this without quoting the Quran? What is the title of the correctly translated OT and NT?

Should I report him to the elders or attempt on my own to convert him back to hetrosexuality?

The big bang theory might be true. If somebody could prove the universe came before God, God wouldn't exist, right. Could somebody please tell how the gases that formed the big bang got there.

Clearly aware of the sensitivity of the issue, Benedict added, "I quote," twice before pronouncing the phrases on Islam and described them as "brusque," while neither explicitly agreeing with nor repudiating them.

The "I QUOTE" or the "BRUSQUE"?

I'm no fan of Benedict, but I do believe he may have been deliberately misunderstood, & probably severly misquoted.

...allegedly, I have a choice to love god or not.

If I freely love god, I get to go to heaven. If I don't, he promises me hell.

Isn't that a little like someone saying "you can love me of your own free will, or you can take a bullet from this gun"?

How does trying to coerce me into loving him by promising me hell if I don't translate into "free will"?

At least if I don't choose to love a particular lady she doesn't toss me into the bonfire for eternity (at least, not a sane lady).

Perhaps it would be easier to love your god if he weren't promising eternal damnation for those who freely choose not to love him.

When god says "love me or else...", it doesn't exactly sound like he gives a damn about people freely choosing to love him, does it?

Isn't that all we need in the way of religious instruction. If there is a God, we'll be alright. If not, we're no worse off.

God is everywhere, so they say, so god must be here on YA R&S, if such an entity exists. It is unlikely that god would just be lurking, god would want to explain its plan to us, and what we must do to execute it. This is an ideal forum for god to do it. So if god exists and is not asleep, it follows that god is one of us. Who might it be? Some rules: best answer will not go to a self-nominee; anyone with a screen name of god, holy spirit, Allah, Jehovah or Jesus; or anyone nominating me.

he says

If your hand or foot causes you to sin , cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire. And if your eye causes you to sin gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.

Yes. He died on a cross, went to hell and back for you, and was raised from the dead and is now in heaven wanting you to accept what He so painfully went through to offer you salvation. He cannot help it if you won't listen. I can beg my child and do everything in my power to try and stop them from doing something stupid, but if they are going to do it, they are going to do it no matter what I say, if they do not stop and listen, ultimately they will do it, unless they have a good relationship with me and know I love them and know what is best for them and listen and say Hey You're right, I know you love me, thanks for helping me not make a big mistake. Or they could rebel and say I don't believe you and suffer the consequences, but likely they won't do that if they have a good relationship with the parent and know the parent loves them. Which is exactly how it is w/God. HIS Children listen, because they, have a good relationship w/Him, and know that He loves them.

In a different question of mine someone said they liked the Quran better because the Bible had 66 authors and the Quran had only one.

I'm not sure if that's the right number of authors but I do know it was several people. If 66 is the right number, wouldn't you have to agree that it is absolutely amazing that 66 people agreed in unison to what God's word was and is? That to me is a miracle in itself that should add to the Bibles trustworthiness.

My question is....are these churches Catholic?
Or are they Protestant churches which are in no way represented by the pope?

Let a woman learn in silence with all submissiveness. I permit no woman to teach or to have authority over men. She is to be kept silent.

1 Tim 2

Woman should remain silent in the chruches. they are not allowed to speak, but must be submission, as the law says. If they want to inquire about something, they shoud ask their own husband at home. for it is disgraceful for a women to speak in the church.
