Well, according to both faiths, the one God is god of them both, so as far as the God head is concerned there is but one. As to the faith it is a matter of trusting the believed source. One will look at it from a different perspective and make that choice. Neither most likely is LYING, one just has a different concept of the correct "faith". But in reality it is important for you any one choosing a course of action is to follow their intuition, for it usually is correct. Either way, sooner of later, and eternity is an immensely long time, they both will come to the conclusion that all are Children of the ONE TRUE GOD and the label of faith will not matter anymore.

Lets go to the video tape: When Adoni(GOD) told Abraham (father of the Jews and Arabs) that his wife was going to have child his was going to be Isaac, Abraham already had a son with an Egyptian Madden not his wife. Adoni said that He will bless Ishmael, the son of Abraham and the Egyptian Madden he will be the father of 12 Kings, BUT his covenant will be with Isaac the son of Abraham and his wife. The covenant of the coming Savior or Messiah, and the prophecies were fulfilled through Jesus.

Dude, there is no One True God. All gods are true and valid. Find something you're comfortable with and then work on creating a connection between the two of you. Look into ancient mythology if you must, to find a god that you would like to have a relationship with and then find what that god is associated with.

Christians and muslims worship the same God. Muslims believe Jesus was a prophet, not the messiah. I have a good friend who is muslim and we've discussed this before

They both worship the same God. At issue is whether or not Jesus was the Son of God and whether or not Mohammed is a prophet of God.
If you read the entirety of the pope's speech, he was showing how reason could be used to help us to understand this:

It depends. Do you believe that there is only One True Way
Or do you accept that multiple religions may each be valid? If you accept that multiple paths may be valid, then the only question is which one you feel more comfortable with, and which set of scriptures and practices speak more clearly to your beliefs.

Maybe both of them are.
Or maybe neither of them are, but they're both just wrong.
Maybe you don't have to believe in a specific religion to be a good and happy person.
Just a thought...

If there really is only one God, then all who seriously and sincerely seek God and worship him are worshipping the same being.
The difficulty then is only in our knowledge of God and what he desires.
