Let's just say there is a creator. What makes anyone think that we will have eternal life after we die? The former seems harder to believe than the ladder. Don't tell me because a bible says so. I want to know why anyone would feel without a doubt that we exist after we expire.

There were two(duality), spiritual energy and material energy. Material energy alone negates all consciousness/ awareness that we see that separates life from the unlife. Rocks don't have awareness but human made of the same material energy has one. The more we know the secret of material energy the more we can infer from it to get some insight of the spirit. Why? Because the two are quite opposite in character. Material energy, for one, constantly undergoes transformation(2nd law of thermodynamics), the spirit is permanent. Material energy varies, while there's only one spirit. Material energy alone are dead, spirit is eternal life. Death( separation of body and spirit) will make no different(body) to the rock. No spirit to intervene the body from opposing the will of the physics law, so the body rottens(transform). The spirit on the hand liberated from the bond is back being pure and directly opposite that of material energy.

I know this is hardly convincing to you but it convinced me enough of an afterlife.

Let me say, yes, there is a Creator...God. I can only go by my experience. When I asked forgiveness and asked Jesus to come into my heart, I had a wonderful peace wash over me. Every time I pray, God hears and comforts me. This is how I know without a shadow of a doubt that Jesus Christ is Lord and He made promises that He will not break. He promised eternal life in Heaven or Hell, and that's the way it is, believe it or not.

In essence, we're energy. And what we've learned about energy (through science) is that energy never decreases or ceases to exist-- it just transfers into other forms.

We are more than skin & bones. It's a scientific fact than when we die, the body automatically weighs about 3 pounds less than it did before death. Whether you'd like to call it a soul/spirit or not, it is definitely real, and it leaves the body at the point of death. Where does it go? No one knows..

My main reason for the belief is "because the Bible says so."

However, the law of conservation of energy says that energy is neither created nor destroyed. When we use energy, it doesn’t disappear. We change it from one form of energy into another. So to think that, when we die, our energy is destroyed and doesn't go anywhere would be against this world teaching on science.

well i believe that there is an afterlife on 2 main reasons.

1, i am celtic pagan and i believe that there are many lives and afterlives, and i have seen spirits and been contacted by departed loved ones.

2, the human body runs off of electricity. once created electrical energy never stops. so that energy has to go somewhere or do something.

Bin Laden used the Muslim promise of many virgins in the afterlife with his terrorist followers.

Religion is about control. They use "Heaven" as one of their common tactics.

How do you get a child to behave? Promise a cookie after supper. It's the same thing.

Well...spirit can leave the body, its just housed there. The body is all that dies at death, so the spirit goes free. Examples: Near death experiences, astral projection, bi location

my experience as a medium is my proof
but i do understand that we all need our own proof , and thats just how it should be
but when i have readings and the mediums tells me of those i have loved that have passed away with such incredible detail .... it is hard to dismiss
i have also given many readings , and am stunned at every one
because when i give that proof to others , it reinstates my own beliefs also

Well I have always believed in a soul and I know some don't and that's their choice. I believe the soul will likely exist but I don't know how but I certainly don't believe it was created by a deity.
