I love the "we all make choices" answers. Like a child can "choose" to get lukemia. What God would allow that?

Because those stupid ants as you call them chose to be burned up in that bonfire rather than to be with God. So why would He want to torture those that would not be happy with Him by making them come on to Heaven? Only thing a good compassionate God can do is to let them burn as they choose to do. Why would you want your child to want anything to do with you?

Fact One. God created man/woman as a immortal soul
Fact Two. God desires for all to live eternally with him
Fact Three. God must create another option for those who choose to reject HIM and everything HE has done for them.
Fact Four. Man decides where he will spend eternity here on earth
Fact Five. The choice we make on earth is solidified by death.

Because you refuse to acknowlege him, his commandments, and the sacrifice of his son Jesus Christ.

He cares about you because you are his creation reguardless if you know it or not. The whole Bible is about his relationship with us and his redemptive plan for humanity. If he did not care them why would he send his only son to die for our salvation. And if he did not care then why 1044 pages in the Bible?

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16)

I've often used the ant metaphor myself. What if God was a kid with an antfarm who gets bored with watching us build tunnels, and "shakes things up" every once in a while by sending us an earthquake, a Katrina or other disaster.

Because His love for you is greater than you can imagine. Think of whatever you love the most and multiply that by infinity, that's how much God loves ALL humans. He doesn't see humans as ants...we are created in His image.

As narcissistic our human race has become, you can honestly ask why would God love His own image?

Doesn't make sense, does it? There is nothing loving compassionate, or just about casting people into a lake of fire because they don't stroke the ol' ego. And why would a truely Supreme enity care about: Worship, reproductive practices, tithes, blood transfusions, politics, usery, rest on a particular day not matter what, ritual dunkings, donations to charity, murder (or pacificsm) done in its name, or any of the other foibles that plague us out of tradition and dogma?

God does not want to do that. We are given a choice, Heaven or Hell. Do you choose Heaven? If so, praise God! Do you choose Hell? If so, how dumb is that? Don't blame God, He loved you so much, He sent His Son to die in your place. You should accept His love.

Because there is no bonfire, It is a creation of the catholic church to manipulate the followers, and it worked so good that others religions are using it

.God is the supreme masochist. He loves torture. He loves to smite people with fire and brimstone. He loves to set plagues upon the people. He will turn your wife into a pillar of salt just for glancing back at his destruction.
Oh yeah, he sends millions of people each year to an eternity of burning in Hell.
