who cares? Questions about Jesus, or Questions designed to convert or recruit people to Jesus (or even away from Jesus for that matter)are simply a waste of time. Ditto for being "saved" or trying to clarify minute points of scripture when there are so many different interpretations and editions of text. People have already decided for the most part if they believe in the fiction written in the bible. People who feel God talks to them have psychological problems because hearing voices is a psychological illness. All the major world religions have issues like this.

Jesus looked like everyone else from the middle east. The paintings of him being white are an invention Europeans. Also, what does it matter what color he was? Does it really make a difference? ( FYI, I'm not a christian, either. Just a person with a brain and common sense)

The truth is no and if you check your Bible you would know how he was describe and looked like. Woolly hair thick lips and bronzed skin. That is not the description of any white man that I have ever seen............... Also if you are acceptable or not the true words Of Christ are the real answers not the color of his skin........ I know that many white people want Jesus to be white in order to justify their actions. But the truth is written and their reason for hating the skin color of any human being was never meant to be. People paint people to look like themselves for that is human nature. But if you ever attend any orthodox Church you should ask them why is Christ Black in their icons yes Black. Who knows maybe you will understand it all a Little better. Me I have history and the truth to back me up.

born in Bethlehem, descendant of David, descendant Judah, who's family spent a few generations in Egypt, descendant Abraham of Ur, Ur located near the mouth of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. Well, lineage don't lie. He's of Arabic descent, more acurately of Iraqi descent. Meaning he coud have been any shade or tan. Not white, not black, but something in between. Tan seems to be the most abundant color, humanly speaking. All native americans, most "latin" americans, north africans, east, central, and south aisans, polyneasians and the most of the south pacific. Anyway, it shouldn't matter. His message was love right? Love should encompass all people.

The chances are that, born as Jesus was in the area of Nazareth and Bethlehem, he would have been a pleasant tan colour...halfway between black and white and I think this may not have been entirely accidental. It is certainly a very comforting idea for us all, whatever the colour of our own skin.

No. Jesus was not of European descent. He was actually a Hebrew Israelite with dark skin (because of the sun).

Given the fact that He died for all mankind (not to mention the fact that He sits on the right hand of the Father and He IS God)...and given the fact that in a lifetime no one will ever know all there is to know of His character, His heart, His lifestyle when He was in the flesh... I can't see how race is even relevant.

I would encourage you to reshape your focus concerning The Sacrificial Lamb.

God bless!

I don't think he was white as we Americans perceive a white person. And probably nothing like the pictures that we are all so used to seeing.Since he was of Jewish decent and lived in the middle east,he probably had a darker complexion and darker hair. But,that is just my opinion. He could have been a black man for all we know, the Bible doesn't give a description of him that I am aware of.

I seriously doubt that Jesus was white, born in that region. The main question is: Does it matter?

Since your screen name is "proud white american," I'm assuming you're trying to make some sort of inference that if the founder of Christianity and supposed Savior of the world were a white man, that it might somehow bring some sort of vicarious meaning to your otherwise worthless whitetrash existence. Am I right?

I would think not, he was from the middles east/Isreal area so I would imagine he looked like most everyone else there.
