Don't need the Old Testement, so then its ok to teach evolution, and forgot all that stuff about God made the human.

Since Old Testement doesn't apply according to the some not all good Christians?

(Heh, that's not a joke,)

i cant believe that im living this kind of life, i have family members and friends but something bad always seems to come out of this. My mother hates me and will do anythign within her power to let me know this; my sisters are around but i cant get them to be nice to me unless they need something. I have a boyfriend and he tellsme to get out half the time and when i do he wants me back and my friends arent friends after all! i can never seem to get anything done for me out of the kindness of their hearts unless they throw it up in my face, i have to pay them back or else they will cause more pain and hurt to me...
and get this they all still feel they can put there hands on meif i even say anything about they way they treat me.

im not very rich becuase i attend 2 schools and work parttime, so its not like imlazy or freeloading i pay my way, so why do they seem to hate me. Is this badluck or a curse ?

Your quote...

"Faith and religion brings peace and comfort to those that are in pain, trouble, or plagued with fear."

Does this apply to all religions or only a select few?
How does the above apply to Islamic extremists?
Can you draw me a picture of how the above comforts a child who is told he might go to Hell if he does wrong in a Christian church?
In your opinion can religion be replaced with something else to bring peace or comfort to people?
How does religion help the fear of the millions of poor people living in the slums of South America...or those who are infected by Aids in Africa? Does religion provide false hope?
Dont get me wrong...Im all about learning new things, but I seriously find flaw with your caption above....religion "creates" fear and loathing....it creates borders that in turn creates animosity between nations...and people.

Is that really true? Does that mean that bad things don't happen to christians, or when they do, it is God's will that had some purpose?

Say a devout Christian person had his small son kidnapped and killed, now, was this to "test" the man's faith- if so, then what did the child do to deserve being tortured?
Did the man just not pray hard enough?
Was this punishment to the man for some past sin? IF so, what did the child do to deserve this?
Or do you believe that the child couldn't have been innocent and deserved it?

Is it possible that chaos ALSO exists for people who follow "God's plan"? or is this not possible since those who follow God's plan don't get punished like the rest of us, and when they do, it is either a "test" or a "punishment"....
for the believer, is this a win win situation faith?

What does Islam has that Christianity doest have. Both of them have Holy Scriptures, Believe in a Higher power and prayer etc. What is the absence that you believe Christianity has that make your religion the correct one in your opinion.

What you see is not as real as God. What you see should prove to you there is a God. If you try to tell me we just became without a Creator then you need to go rethink some things. Ask any athiest how the whole universe came to exist and I mean every galaxy, planet and star, also the ones still being created. Ask how the earth has one set speed it is to turn and one set speed to rotate around the sun. Also the sun is just at the right distance for life to be sustained here on earth which includes billions of diverse lifeforms (That according to athiests just popped out of nowhere or crawled out of the Ocean). Is it all just coincedence? Also ask them to get an empty mason jar and set it in their house somewhere and go back to the jar 20 or 30 years later or more if needed and see whats in it..........you know what would be in it? Still nothing. You have to have a Creator and it upsets the athiests. Also, it's easy for anyone to call themselves an athiest when life is good and you have your health but there is coming a day when death will be knocking at your door and that's when you see just how much of an athiest they really are.
Also for the big bang theory supporters........where did the material that went bang come from and the energy to make it go BANG? I'll tell you, God created it and he may have made a "BIG BANG" out of it to put it where he wanted it I won't dispute that because the Universe is still expanding. For evolution supporters, your still missing the "link" and you'll never find it. If you come up with a fossil of a man with gills and webbed feet, then we will discuss some issues but I'm sure your "missing link" will always be missing. All in all the athiests have too many questians to answer themselves that the Bible already explains. I'd rather believe there is a God and die and if there isn't I will then lose nothing but if there is a God and Creator and I've argued to people he isn't then I lose alot. Think it over friend. Are you really sure about denying God? The evidence is against you. The Bible, the only Holy written word of God explains all things past, present and future. There is no excuse for not having the knowledge, it's there. Stop being a God-fighter and throw off your prejudice and pride and do some research. You athiests just make yourselves appear ignorant with all this God bashing you do on here, especially when it's obvious you haven't a clue to what your talking about. For people who claim atheism you people are obsessed with talking about and bashing CHRISTIANS and GOD. I almost guarantee you don't even know why you claim to be athiest. Is it for attention? Like I mentioned before, go study and learn some things then come back, you have to come up with an answer of "how something can appear out of nothing" and "a fossil or remains of a half man-half fish" right after he slimed his way onto land. If you going to promote being an "athiest" I would at least lay down some facts to why.........no theories please.

What do you about the statue in this picture. Is it a good thing or is it a huge monstrosity? What does this say about this church?

This is in Ohio between Middletown and Cincinnati...it sits right on the highway. The locals call it Touchdown Jesus.

Leviticus 25:45 (New International Version)
------------------------------------------------------
45 You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property

Leviticus 25:45 (New King James Version)
------------------------------------------------------

45 Moreover you may buy the children of the strangers who dwell among you, and their families who are with you, which they beget in your land; and they shall become your property.

I don't understand - which one is the word of God? In one version it says temporary residents, and in another its telling me its ok to own children as property. I'm just confused because I want to "get right with the word of God". It seems one Bible is telling me its right to own children as property. That I can buy them even.

So God allows me to have child slave auctions? Yes? Leviticus 25:45 (NKJV) Is it the word of God?

I would hold that science makes predictions about the world that can be tested and, in principle, falsified. Naturally if the thoery were wholly true it would never in actuality be falsified but we could still point to a conceptually possible occurence that would falisfy it. For example the law of conservation of momentum could be falsified if we were to fire a bullet an record that the momentum of the bullet was not equal and opposite to the recoil of the gun.

On this basis can any of the creationists or intelligent design theorist outline examples of evidence that would count against their theories? I accept that none of you will think that these events WILL happen, but they should be conceivable to happen. eg (for the literal creationists) would the discovery of dark matter needed to uphold current cosmological theory convince you that the universe was older than creationism proposes? What would physics have to show to breakdown the 24 hour day timescale?

I am not trying to cut anyone down so please dont take this the wrong way. I believe everyone has the right to choose. Believe or not its your choice. I would just like to ask for an honest answer. In times of stress or heart break how do you make it through. How do you all rationalize the bad things that happen too you and find the will to go on to another day when everything seems so hopeless. I know that you all think God is some kind of crutch made for people who you deem weak but at the end of the day I can find hope and reassurance in the word of God. From were do you draw your strength knowing that each day could be your last and there is nothing else after words. Again i hope i am not coming off as preaching i just would like to understand your mind set.
