The perfect silence of the expereince of pure consciousness has no content at all; not even a space-time manifold to contain content. It is unimaginable, since anything one could imagine would be content. But it is something that one can (abstractly) remember experiencing, and it has measurable physiological correlates that are predicted in several old texts of both the East and West, and corroborated by modern evidence. So it doesn't sound "like" anything. It is becoming an important tool in the emerging field of consciousness studies and philosophy of mind.

Silence to me is when the only thing I can hear is the breeze blowing through the trees, because that can be a difficult thing to hear above all the other noise of the world, and a cool breeze really relaxes me :)

The highest pitch in the air...which is why we are not able to hear it. It is undectable by the human ear and is thus called "silent". Dogs and animals do not have such a luxury and hear pitches constantly.
There is no real silence.

You'll never truly hear silence unless you're dead. And if we believe the religions of the world, we won't even get peace and quiet then.
