The wedding at Cana. John 2:1-11.
On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus' mother was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. When the wine was gone, Jesus' mother said to him, "They have no more wine."

4"Dear woman, why do you involve me?" Jesus replied, "My time has not yet come."

5His mother said to the servants, "Do whatever he tells you."

6Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons.

7Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the jars with water"; so they filled them to the brim.

8Then he told them, "Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet."

They did so, and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside and said, "Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now."

11This, the first of his miraculous signs, Jesus performed in Cana of Galilee. He thus revealed his glory, and his disciples put their faith in him.

actually the closest I have found is seeing Jesus compared (after the fact, not by actual deciples) to local gods of specific greek and roman dieties in an attempt to convert or assimilate better other cultures and citizens in that melting pot of an area of the time

the main miracles all somehow have the same detail and mythic story powers of local dieties, including power over death (cult of Attis) raising dead, walking on water, turning water into wine, making food multiply...all greek and roman temple god characteristics

apparently Jesus was a great person but his story became embellished as it was told and before ya know it, tall tales abounded. the main thing is it gave people hope in life, the staying power of an evolutionary story or religion necessary for any religion to survive over time and generations

Recycled, no where, he made water into wine without grapes or alcohol. They call it a miracle, we can't do that sadly. Love the wine when I dine

luckily I still have one bottle left in my cellar a rather pleasant 'Haut de beth'.

unfortunately the previous bottle I drank did affect me in the downstairs department quite badly but after 3 weeks of hard scrubbing i have removed all skidmark stains from my loin cloth.

personally after the session I had last night I'd rather like JC to go the other way round and convert some of my wine into water !!!

I have a cup of it from 2000 years ago. It says on the side of the cup "Jesus made this out of water." Really though, what kind of proof would there be?

no proof as such, people have faith in the bible, i believe the bible because i believe in god and the bible makes sense and i've proved it to myself, once you've done that some things come down to faith. I believe that god created everything, for jesus to turn water into wine seems quite easy after that

there is no one here who can prove JESUS did or did not since we were not there. besides we know that Romans shipped wine making material in a dehydrated state to save both space and weight during shipping adding the mixture ( similar to our kool - aid type mixture of today ) to water when it reached the designated destination. some scholars this is what HE did.
