St. Paul was never reported to be one of Jesus students or even saw Jesus in person, rather he was an enemy. what is confusing is that chrisianity today ows him much as he is regarded as the true founder of it.
It is strange that Saul turns suddenly from an enemy to an apostel recieving revelation and guiding other christians. If we believed in his conversion we may expect that he converts to christianity to be a good christian fellow not an apostle. Even if this is a fact, it is really astonishing me because there were no signs that he will turn to be so. Jesus himself has prophesies of his coming. His revealation has no witness except himself, so it could be fake. I think he is fabricating the whole thing. Jesus student were there to get those merits.

it is now called Pauline Christianity
What was it like if St. Paul was not there?

Today I went to a booth at the fair where a obviously christian guy with a long beard, bushy eyebrows and a bible in his hand was workin. His booth was strewn with little crosses and had the ten commandments posted on the wall below his 12 gauge and a sign on a piece of cardboard that had KOOL-AID=Free written in permanant marker. He kept askin me questions like 'You godda luva god in ya, son.' ....I told him 'sure.' and started walking away. He looked rather angry in the face but his voice came out strangely kind. 'Come back here and you can get ya sum kool-aid for free.' I wanted to keep walking but my friends insisted on grabbin some then running to catch up with me.. L8er in the night they started sayin stuff like 'what are you gonna tell god when you get to heaven.' and 'God loves you, why do you refute?' One of my friends then picked up a stake from a tent and pointed it at me telling me to accept christ. I hit him in the face then ran but now i don't have a ride home...HELP!

I hear the nuttos yelling and screaming about how women are not treated fairly in Islam, but this type of thinking goes right along with that type of oppresion.

Jesus had 12 male apolstles and a female wife, but they turned his wife into a whore. All preiest all the way to the pope are always men...

The pope wants women to stay home and raise babies rather than have the freedom to work if they choose.

The pope opposes condoms so that women are burdened with unwanted children while the men can dissapear.

Is Christianity a religion to empower men?

In my previous question the classic answers appeared:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/?qid=20060908162233AAmRqVV

“Going to church, singing, learning in seminary, praying, etc. None of these make you a Christian. Only when you truly believe that Jesus is sovereign Lord with all your heart, that's when you become a christian. Playing church doesn't do squat. That might be why you turned.”

And

“There is the testimony of the Holy Spirit within you. If you've left, you were never really part of us. This means you are just as eligible for being regenerate as someone who has never heard of Jesus.”

How do these people know that they are *true* Christians?

They might have a profound experience that will redirect their faith

Suppose someone wholeheartedly loves god and accepts Jesus but despite that he is immersed in sinning.(Sex, Drugs).

Does he attain salvation, since Jesus died for his sin?

Don't tell me that if he truly accepted Jesus he wouldn't sin. coz there are people who sin and yet genuinely 'love' and accept god.

If No.....whose sin did Jesus die for: those without sin?

if Yes...can we do whatever we want so long as we love and accept god?

While many folks here criticized the website that says Islam has Hindu roots, we should all know that Hindu is of Indian Origin and began over two thousand years before Jesus and Mohammad.
While it's true that Christianity, Judaism and Islam worship one God, before Mohammad, the Arab people had multiple Gods which may well have come from India/Hindu occupation. 'Allah' of Islam definately has Hindu roots...known by the Jews and Christians before Islam.
Try as we may, we can't run away from the truth that religion has straight connections with paganism and all that came before.
Hindu may well be the Mother of all religions.
Thanks for the website.

Me and my friends use to hang out at the community service convention. It just melted my heart to see those old people's gratitude when you gave em tht glass of milk or blanket.....But now they spend all their time at church! Here's how it started: we all one day decided to go to church b/c this rather strange kid with swirlies in his eyes invited us. It was a teen oriented sunday school like thing, not really church and they had cookies and...KOOL AID!!! I had a cookie but I passed up the kool aid because I had brought a bottled water with me, i couldn't say the same bout my friends. They all drank at least 4 paper cups full. After we left the church I couldn't wait to talk to my friends about how silly what they said were and how obvious they were trying to put fear in us so we would join and strengthen the community or feel guilty...but all their eyes were glassed over and they just looked at me and said, 'You are going to hell!' and started chanting.. HELP!!! what happened to them?
