St. Paul was never reported to be one of Jesus students or even saw Jesus in person, rather he was an enemy. what is confusing is that chrisianity today ows him much as he is regarded as the true founder of it.
It is strange that Saul turns suddenly from an enemy to an apostel recieving revelation and guiding other christians. If we believed in his conversion we may expect that he converts to christianity to be a good christian fellow not an apostle. Even if this is a fact, it is really astonishing me because there were no signs that he will turn to be so. Jesus himself has prophesies of his coming. His revealation has no witness except himself, so it could be fake. I think he is fabricating the whole thing. Jesus student were there to get those merits.
it is now called Pauline Christianity
What was it like if St. Paul was not there?

Paul founded christianity. jesus did not intend to start a new religion. he was a practising Jew. Paul wanted to spread the religion to the pagans even though jesus said he was sent only to the lost sheep of israel. As a result christianity became influenced by greek and roman methology. This created the god-man. Jesus said what all the Prophets of god said, worship god alone.

Have you done much study of the new testament? I don't think you have. Because if you had indeed read the books written by Paul, who was an apostle called and transformed by the grace of Jesus Christ, you would see one of the most passionate believers in Jesus, and the gospel, this world has ever seen. I thank God that Jesus turned around this man, and that Paul left us with most of what has now become our new testament. All He does is point to Jesus, and all Jesus said.

You have definitely showed that you have a real interest. Keep studying and the Holy Spirit will guide you. I hope you find those answers you seek. If it wasn't Paul maybe it would be Ralph or Fred -- the witness for Christ has many names some of which have not yet been revealed to us.

Nobody in his or her right mind thinks that Paul is the founder of Christianity. Paul almost extinguished the Christian church through murders and that is probably why Christ knocked him off his donkey and told him that he would have to work for the Lord Jesus Christ instead of continuing his murder binge against Christians.
Christianity is the worshipping of Jesus Christ as the Lord God and savior as the Bible says and demands.

In the many years of studing God's word, I have not found a difference in what Paul taught and what Jesus taught.
I have though found many "Christians" who dislike Paul because he doesn't agree with what they think Jesus taught. or as Peter said:
2 Pet 3:15, 16 beloved brother Paul according to the wisdom given him also wrote you, . . . hard to understand, which the untaught and unsteady are twisting, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.

Without Paul, if Christianity existed at all, it might be a small group of about 1000 people or so living some place in Syria or Lebanon and they would be basically a Jewish sect.

Without St Paul the church may have been more tolerant towards homosexuals. The homophobes get everywhere!

It was not suddenly. It is not like he was strolling down the road to Damascus one day and said "I think I will be an apostle". There were several years, and a great deal of sacrifice for him to get to be the man of God that he became.

If it hadn't been for Paul, Christians might be a bit less bigoted and psychotic.
