Who here has stepped off that cliff and left the security of faith behind them?

I have and it didn't feel good. A friend of mine became suicidal when going through it and she opted back into religion because she couldn't cope without her faith.

I don't believe anything and have learned so much from my experience. It's difficult to remain completely unbiased in a culture that says, 'If you don't believe 'x', you must believe 'y''. Get me? I just cannot buy into fluff and fantasy, even though it would make me feel cosy like a drug.

My payoff is knowing that I'm open to truth whatever form it may take, not molding reality to fit my perceived view on truth / fact.

If you have had a similar experience - how do you face life's unknowns. What is your payoff?

(This sincere question is not intended to incite Christians into a rant & rave preachathon - Just those answering the question would be appreciated.)

Would you marry a man who had no job, no house, no transportation, lived with His mother still, always traveled in a crowd, hung out with prostitutes,had no time for you, travels all the time, could offer you no privacy, and had 12 best male friends who liked to fish? Knowing these things only would you pick him for a husband? Now tell me why some still think Jesus was married to Mary Magdelene?

Do you want to help create the actual choice of being able to choose your freedom of religion or lack there of? then this might help regardless of what you believe do people in the military who are not christians have the right to be buried if they should in the mannar that thier belief system deems appropiate????? if you agree please sign this petition

There are some churches where beautiful chairs are reserved for the pastors,deacons,leaders and the elders.I like to sit in the crowd.Is it neccessry to bring in those seats that are claimed to be for special people in the church? Are we not one in christ and we have to share with one another? If this question is wrong please excuse me. I am worried about it because I have just been asked to go and be sitting in those places and I have refused.

I know there are 200+ but was unaware how they are found. I would think Talmud as it goes over the law in detail. I have not completed the Torah but have not seen much on all the laws. Does Talmud go hand to hand with Torah?

My family says yes. . My religion says YES, absolutely!... My friend says NO, and she had let me read Luke 23:42-43 [42 And he went on to say: “Jesus, remember me when you get into your kingdom.” 43 And he said to him: “Truly I tell you today, You will be with me in Paradise.”] Therefore, that MAN never needs to visit a purgatory, am I right? So is there really a purgatory anyway? Haven't read the entire bible, sorry.

There is a Pagan temple in Mecca (the Muslim holy city) with a huge Idol, all it is really is a huge black STONE. I mean even if Muslims dont believe in jesus I'd think that in the old book god dont like you praying to stones. Ask any ARAB what God did Arabs pray to before Islam, and do you know what they'll tell you Allah because its the same pagan God
