I never thought that. I only cover my head because I never ever bathe. I'm a filthy pig with messy greasy hair and my hat makes me sexy

I wouldn't have thought anyone would be silly enough to believe this! Woemn wear the hijab as a sign of respect, do not uncover unless with female relatives, friends when they can remove the hijab, only their husband sees them uncovered.
When visiting friends in Tunisia i wore the hijab as a sign of respect for them because they are strict Muslims and i refused to embarrass them by walking about in my western clothes. One thing i found was! I got treated with far more respect than i do in Europe!

Because all muslims think (like there someone BIG had done) will get attracted to the lady and naturally snatch her away. In Arabian countries like Saudi you will never be permitted to enter any part of the house except the visitors room too. So keep them covered and not allow them to be seen. Ladies are not bald but just stupid but their husbands are smart.

ooh.. are there really such ppl who think so? lol.
the hijab shield the hair from the strong sunlight... from dust, from debris... and so it's no wonder women who wear hijabs' hair are usually much more nicer and healthier than those who do not ;)
and it's not merely to cover the hair, but to cover the 'aurah. and it's part of the Muslimah Identity that differentiate us from the non-Muslims :)

Womed during Moses and Jesus time covered their hair . Have doubts they were bald. I wear hejab, but I am not bald :)
