Christianity and Buddhism seem to make the most sense to me however can one practice both at the same time or do I have to give up one for the other?

Kind of like being torn between two lovers...feeling like a fool...loving both of you is breaking all the rules...

Jesus redeems you from your bad karma, so you don't have to WORK your way to the next plain of existence. And you just do more good karma because you love Him, not because it will get you something. Not that Buddhism is bad, it just falls short of perfection.

Meditate on both. Finish the holy books of both. Outline your findings & bring them before God, one point at a time, He will walk you through the truth so you will know truth. Others memorize truth and think they are so smart. But wise decisions for unexpected events are only reached by KNOWING the truth. You are the kind to allow God to be your teacher. He will ask you to rationalize and when you are wrong, He will say try again, when you are close, He will highlight a clue. The truth is true from all points of view. He will make you test the truth, because the truth is pure and can stand all tests. This way you stand strong in the truth and cannot falter.

I myself go to two churches, (Catholic and Christian) and feel that it's more about the relationship with God rather than picking a "certain religion". My friend is Christian and he also studies Buddhism, as I myself have looked into it. Buddhism is more of a way of thinking, and not necessarily a religion. I believe that it's fine to practice both. Just keep God present in your life :D.

The Baha'i teachings have showed me how to solve this difficulty:

The Bahá'í Faith is an independent world religion. With more than five million adherents residing in over 124,000 localities, the Bahá'í Faith is established in 204 countries across the planet. The spiritual principles of the Bahá'í Faith affirm its overall purpose--to bring about the oneness of humanity. In cooperation with these same principles, Bahá'ís also believe that there is only one Creator and that the spiritual truth of all religions is the same. From a Bahá'í perspective, The Bahá'í Faith is the most recent of the world's great religions. It forms the next link in a chain of important, divine teachings, a progressive revelation that places Bahá'u'lláh, the founder of the Bahá'í Faith, as the Messenger of God for this age.

Its impossible to practice both, because you would fail as a christian by praying to another GOD. Its against the 10 commandments. How ever Christianity seems to be the religion with the most fufilled prophecys. It also said In the Bible that towerds the end of Time..Christianity will be practicly banished and looked apon in a negitive aspect. Another fufilled prophecy!! Read The Bible. Its 100% true. It talks about every thing you see on CNN.

When the first Christian missionaries came into Buddhist areas, the Buddhists adopted the religion and called themselves Christian Buddhists. In the Western conception of Buddhism, it's a philosophy rather than a religion; practicing both is perfectly acceptable.

Why can't you practice both? Religion is personal, and different for everyone. You don't have to justify your spirituality to anyone but yourself. I'm also Christian, but I find a lot of aspects of Buddhism seem right and true to me. If you have to, create your own religion. Do what gives you peace.

Buddhism is actually (if you really study it, particularly the history of it) a philosophy instead of a religion. Therefore I don't see why you couldn't be both Christian and Buddhist. You might just have to define a few things for yourself rather than depending on religious leaders to do it for you--a good thing in my book.

You should read the Quraan.

Islam is a complete way of life.
It contains the best teachings.

If you study with an open mind, you will find that Islam is the only true religion, and the Quraan is the only revealed book, which is still in its original form.

Try going with your heart. These days ya see many people talkin bout religion and how they not allowed to do this or that. Mankind has lost focus on what's really important, and that's a relationship. It's not a religion. sit quietly alone sometimes and pray that the Creator make Himself real in your life. God Bless Ya.

I would advice you to listen to both of the founders. Jesus and Buddha both teach to get rid of ones attachments and to practice compassion.

This does not have anything to do with rites and rituals of a religion. Look for the inner core of both religions and drop the cultural and historical overhead.
