No, I do not agree. Angels are technically assumed to be above gender considerations, but can appear as either male or female. In fact, I am betting more of them manifest as female. My reasons why would fill a book.

Most divine elements are masculine: God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit... In Genesis they say man was made first, but who knows what really happened? You should read "The Last Templar" by Raymond Khoury, he explains some things about divinity in his novel.
